Baby 81 – BRMC 28.11.2007
Da waren Sie wieder: Nick Jago, Robert Levon Been und Peter Heyes namentlich Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Berlin / Weapon Of Choice / Stop (faster faster faster) / Rise Or Fall / All You Do Is Talk / 666 Conducer / Love Burns / Ain’t No Easy Way / Spread Your Love / Mercy / Feel It Now / Faultline / Devil’s waiting / Promise / Need Some Air / As Sure As The Sun / American X / Punk Song / Took Out A Loan / Show’s About To Begin / Six Barrel Shotgun / Heart + Soul

Baby 81 by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club 28.11.2007
Here they are again, back in Germany and back in Rock: Nick Jago (Drums), Robert Levon Been (Voice, Bass) und Peter Heyes (Voice, Guitar) better know as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club! The show in Munich took place at the Elserhalle and was like their output so far, some rocking stuff, some calmer stuff but always intense, another great performance. Berlin — Weapon Of Choice — Stop (faster faster faster) — Rise Or Fall — All You Do Is Talk — 666 Conducer — Love Burns — Ain’t No Easy Way — Spread Your Love — Mercy — Feel It Now — Faultline — Devil’s waiting — Promise — Need Some Air — As Sure As The Sun — American X — (Whatever Happened To My Rock’N’Roll) Punk Song — Took Out A Loan — Show’s About To Begin — Six Barrel Shotgun — Heart + Soul

Neon Bible von Arcade Fire 11.11.2007

Arcade Fire

Hier die Songliste: * Black Mirror * Keep The Car Running * No Cars Go * Haiti * Submarine * Black Wave * In The Backseat * Neon Bible * Intervention * The Well * Antichrist TV Blues * Some Video Speach * Power Out * Rebellion * Ocean Of Noise * Tunnels * Wake Up *

Was will Rock The Cam mehr? Hier die Setlist von NMA: Rumour & Rapture 1650 * Bloodsports * Island * Into The Wind * Breathing * Rivers * The Hunt * Get Me Out * Before I Get Old * One Of The Chosen * High * Here Comes The War * No Mirror, No Shadow * Purity * Bad Old World * Wired * 225 * Poison Street * Vagabonds * Wonderful Way To Go * Green And Grey

Hey Kula Shaker Dude – Second Sight! 22.10.2007
Es war ein schöner, gitarrenbetonter Auftritt mit folgenden Liedern: Hey Dude / Out On The Highway / Second Sight / Jerry Was There / Into The Deep / Die For Love / Temple Of Everlasting Light / 303 / Dr. Kitt / Shower Your Love / Hurricane Season / Tattva / Be Merciful / Hush / Song Of Love / Dictator / Great Hosannah / Govinda Als Vorband spielten Kimo diese Songs: Million Words / Plans / Everyone Lay Down / Like Years / Discovered Places /Two Towers / Fabio Solo

Into The Deep Atomic with Kula Shaker 22.10.2007

Die Platte heisst nicht umsonst „The Human Race Must Be Destroyed“.

Istanbul calling with Crowfish and UCK Grind 20.10.2007
I made it to Istanbul and luckily I could visit a concert. There was a death metal concert and a show with Punk Rock from Bulgaria (Crowfish) and a band from Turkey (UCK Grind). No question for me, I went to check out the Turkish Punk Rock Scene. This took place at the “Studio Live” in Taksim – Beyoglu. It was a bit strange, four bouncers in suits at the entrance – is this Punk Rock in Turkey??? The reason for this was a disco in the building as well, but just one entry. Anyway, Crowfish from Varna played nice melody Punk Rock and UCK Grind some kind of so called Deathpunk – hard stuff! The Human Race Must Be Destroyed! Justice!!

Americans Abroad mit Against Me! in München 17.10.2007
Against Me! zusammen mit Future Of The Left auf Deutschlandtour. Im Rahmen der neuen Platte New Wave wurde zum Glück auch München wieder mit einem Konzert bedacht und was soll Rock The Cam dazu sagen? Future Of The Left waren mir (wie so viele andere Bands auch) vollkommen unbekannt.

Americans Abroad in Munich: Against Me! 17.10.2007
It was Against Me! and Future Of The Left playing at the backstage in Munich. I did not hear about Future Of The Left before and thought that they sound a bit like good old gone McLusky, although even a keyboard came on stage. And while writing this amazing mindblowing text for you, I found out that F.O.T.L. is the band following the McLusky split, all right, even I got that point now. And what do you want to hear about the Against Me! gig? It was great again, good songs, really good live band and lots of stage divers trying to kill my camera. Tom Gabel, James Bowman, Andrew Seward and Warren Oakes know how to rock.

Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub 12.10.2007
Is A Headbanger / This Is Michael / Love On Sale / Kill Your Idols… * Girl Is A Runner * I Dedicate My Soul To You * Faking To Blend In * So What! * Emma * This Is Michael –You Are A Parasite But I Still Love You * Atlantic Claire * Queen Day * Love On Sale * Albert Is A Headbanger * In Today’s Parties * Annie Flies The L.B. * Sleep A Lifetime * Drinking + Belonging To The Sea * Fine Art In Silver * The Night Before The Last Was Saturday Night * On Tuesday I’m Not As Young

more than 20 years around – Phillip Boa 12.10.2007
If you are a bit interested in the so called independent music scene in Germany and you dig a bit in the past, you do not come around of this band: Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub. The reason for this are songs like “This Is Michael” “Container Love” “Love On Sale” “Albert Is A Headbanger” “Kill Your Idols”… It is 2007 and the Faking To Blend In Tour is going through Germany. One stop was in Munich at the Muffathalle: new songs plus the old hits – this mixture results in a good concert. Girl Is A Runner / I Dedicate My Soul To You / Faking To Blend In / So What! / Emma / This Is Michael –You Are A Parasite But I Still Love You / Atlantic Claire / Queen Day / Love On Sale / Albert Is A Headbanger / In Today’s Parties / Annie Flies The L.B. / Sleep A Lifetime / Drinking + Belonging To The Sea / Fine Art In Silver / The Night Before The Last Was Saturday Night / On Tuesday I’m Not As Young

The Briefs – Punk wie früher? 10.10.2007
Und hier die Hits mit Namen: Outer Space Doesn’t Care About You / Poor And Weird / Run The Other Way / Silver Bullet / New Case / Destroy The USA / She’s Abrasive / Orange Alert / Dead Suburbs / My Baby Is A Communist / Move Too Slow / Macy’s / Killed By Ants / Knife / I’m A Raccoon / Stuck On You / (Looking Through) Gary Glitter’s Eyes / Sylvia / Forty And Above / Year Long Summer / Rotten Love
Eröffnet haben Thee Nine aus München.

Briefs – Punk like in the end seventies? 10.10.2007
Don’t know how it was back then in the good old times 77 / 78, unfortunately I was too young, but I guess it was like that this night on stage: The Briefs out of Seattle! This is Punk Rock how I like it: jumps, jumps and stupid faces with running around and most important good music. Kind of like a title of a record from them: The Briefs with Hit after Hit, here is the setlist: Outer Space Doesn’t Care About You * Poor And Weird * Run The Other Way * Silver Bullet * New Case * Destroy The USA * She’s Abrasive * Orange Alert * Dead Suburbs * My Baby Is A Communist * Move Too Slow * Macy’s * Killed By Ants * Knife * I’m A Raccoon * Stuck On You * (Looking Through) Gary Glitter’s Eyes * Sylvia * Forty And Above * Year Long Summer * Rotten Love. Good one at the Feierwerk, Rock The Cam says thank you all for that memory.
Opening act were Thee Nine from Munich. Check those concert pictures and jump photos!

The Ark, endlich mal wieder, 08.10.2007

Finally The Ark again 08.10.2007
the Swedish „glam rock – stars“ The Ark finally came back to Munich and this time they changed the location from their so called „kitchen“ Atomic Cafe to a new club called 59 to 1. Sunflower Caravan from Prague did begin the spectacle and at 22:35 o’clock The Ark took the stage. And when I say they took the stage, I mean it. They are just a fantastic live band with lots of good hits. It was fun again.

Auf der Setlist standen folgende Hits: Untreatable / Crawl / Guns / Most Visious / Unstitch / Breaking / Erase / Red.Right / Assemble / Glasshouse / Taking Back / Air / Oceana / Cut Your Ribbons.

The Wire – Quattro – Sunken Waltz – Lost In Space – Minas De Combre – Roka – Deep Down – Service And Repair – Dub Latina – Ojitos Traidores – Stray – The News About William – Letter To Bowie Knife – Alone Again Or – Guero Canelo – Sideshow – Cruel – Corona – Crystal Frontier. Fotos vom Event hier auf Rock The Cam.

Obwohl die Macher wieder ein Rieseprogramm aufgefahren haben (Freitags: The Vengeance Clan, The Killertunes, Pink Cream 69; Sunrise Avenue – Samstag: The Patricks, For A Day Of Sorrow, Bumble Bee, Lampshade, Ohrbooten, Honeyweed; Tommy H Price Band, Shy Guy At The Show, Sugarplum Fairy, Beatsteaks – Sonntag: Moorange, Fotos, Abuela Coca, Triband, Wallis Bird, Eskorzo, Fantastischen 4) gibt es hier nur von 3 Bands Konzertfotos zu sehen.

The Last BBQ Tour in Europa.

Hier ist die Setlist: Teenage Riot – Silver Rocket – The Sprawl – Cross The Breeze – Eric’s Trip – Total Trash – Hey Joni – Providence – Candle – Rain King – Kissability – The Wonder – Hyperstation – Eliminator – Incinerate – Reena – Waste – Rapture – Jams
Schön wars und Fotos gibt’s hier bei Rock The Cam.

Daydream Nation – Sonic Youth, 21.06.2007
The Tollwood festival made it possible to present us Sonic Youth performing their Daydream Nation album. Teenage Riot was the first song and made clear what to expect: the typical Sonic Youth “noise” guitar rock style. After the whole album was celebrated some bonus songs made everybody happy. Nice show and „nice“ pictures right here on Rock The Cam.
Here is the list of the songs: Teenage Riot – Silver Rocket – The Sprawl – Cross The Breeze – Eric’s Trip – Total Trash – Hey Joni – Providence – Candle – Rain King – Kissability – The Wonder – Hyperstation – Eliminator – Incinerate – Reena – Waste – Rapture – Jams

Martha Splatterhead sagt Argh Fuck Kill – Accüsed, Dayglo Abortions, Golers 28.05.2007
Inside My Head – Stupid Songs – Argh Fuck Kill – Bedtime Story – Holy Shit – America Eats – Hide The Hamster – Courage – Isn’t This Disgusting – Used To Be In Love – Religious Bumfucks – Ronald McReagan – Wake Up America – Proud To Be A Canadian – My Girl / Dogfarts – Drugged Driving

Martha Splatterhead says Argh Fuck Kill, Dayglo Abortions Accüsed by Golers 28.05.2007
what a line up: Golers, Dayglo Abortions and The Accüsed! Older pop stars playing to older fans. Golers were alright, although the music would be to stressful for me to listen to it at home. The main reason for my appearance were the Canadian punx from Dayglo Abortions. And they kicked ass!!!! Here is the set list from their show, just hits:
Inside My Head – Stupid Songs – Argh Fuck Kill – Bedtime Story – Holy Shit – America Eats – Hide The Hamster – Courage – Isn’t This Disgusting – Used To Be In Love – Religious Bumfucks – Ronald McReagan – Wake Up America – Proud To Be A Canadian – My Girl / Dogfarts – Drugged Driving
The Accüsed made their Martha Splatterhead show and everybody left the Feierwerk with a lucky smile on the face. Pictures here on Rock The Cam.

Little Man Tate in Berlin, 23.03.2007
I made it to the big city, I made it to a concert. Unfortunately my camera was somehow damaged and I am not able to present you pictures from the opening act called Five!Fast!!Hits!!! a cool German band playing some really nice guitar indie tunes. After some repairing Rock The Cam was able to rock the cam!
And here you can find concert photos from the main act: Little Man Tate.

Sunny Red / Feierwerk Jeniferever Show, 21.03.2007
before going to the Sunny Red I went to the Feierwerk and took some pictures of Why2, a band from Munich. At the Sunny Red there were not really a lot of people to see Jeniferever from Sweden. What a bummer, cause I enjoyed what they did.

Damien Rice: Gehobener Anspruch, 16.03.2007

Performing POSH: Damien Rice 16.03.2007
The Magic Numbers did open up for Damien Rice.
It was in the Herkulessal der Residenz in munich, which is a seated hall for more or less classic concerts.
The place is cool to look at and has a great acustic but such a concert doesn’t really fit in there.
OK, perhaps it is just my opinion but seated shows are somehow shitty…its killing live action.
Anyway, Damien liked it and performed a great show for the lucky ones who where there and came in (it was a sold out show again).

So Divided mit dem Trail Of Dead, 08.03.2007
nachdem der Februar mal wieder der Monat des Verpassens war (Fratellis, Wreckless Eric, Blood Brothers, Eagles Of Death Metal, Kasabian, The Jai Alai Savant, Jet….), war ich sehr glücklich am Donnerstag in der ziemlich vollen Muffathalle aufzuschlagen um mir And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead anzusehen.

A Trail Of Dead so Divided? 08.03.2007
the wild boys from Texas came the long way over to Europe for bringing their show to Rock The Cam.
Although the entrance fee was not really cheap, the concert was worth each Cent! I did miss the
opening act but was able to enjoy the complete And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead gig.

Diese waren, tja Under Attack?

Casualties Chaos on tour, 19.01.2007
After getting into the sold out Feierwerk the first band was already over, but then NYC based band
The Casualties took the stage, but not for long. Soon the fans joined them and set them Under Attack.
It was a cool Punk Rock Gig with even a Ramones cover starring some drunken one who took the mic.

Fucked Up zum neuen Jahr 09.01.2007
„I heard Bavaria is the Texas of Germany.“

Fucked Up in 2007 09.01.2007
The year did start with a hardcore punk rock show in the Kafe Kult in munich. The Heat Is On was
the opening act for the Fucked Up from Toronto, Canada, now beeing on Jade Tree.
The small venue was full and the mood was great. Both bands kicked ass and the party was going on.
And what did the Fucked Up singer say: I heard that Bavaria is the Texas of Germany…. That’s funny.
