For now – The Bishops 05.12.2008
Oh the City Lights next time I will follow, Danke an The Bishops aus London/UK.

So High with The Bishops 05.12.2008
Last concert in 2008 for Rock The Cam was at the Atomic Café with The Bishops from London, UK. Their music is out on Weekender Records and can be described like kind of guitar retro sound?
On The Radio, Santogold, Port O’Brien, Buraka Som Sistema, Frittenbude, Wrongkong, Missent To Denmark, Clara Luzia, Karo, Uphill Racer, Bratze, Ghost Rockets, Creme Fresh, Dan Le Sac Vs. Also nächstes Jahr unbedingt rechtzeitig Karten besorgen.

Geburtstag mit den 3. Wahl und Dödelhaie 22.11.2008

Dödelhaie

Ein ausverkauftes Feierwerk war Stopp bei der 20 Jahre Dritte Wahl Konzerttour durchs deutsche Lande. 3.

Another Birthday Tour with Dritte Wahl and Dödelhaie 22.11.2008
20 years Dritte Wahl. The birthday tour brought them to Munich and the Feierwerk was sold out. Old friends Dödelhaie were the lucky ones to open this German punk rock night. Afterwards 3. Wahl took the stage and all the punx were lucky to be there.

M & M – The Monsters und Mondo Ray 21.11.2008

Mondo Ray The Monsters

Shake Your Ass konnte Rock The Cam mal wieder locken, auf dem Programm standen Dead Elvis & And His One Man Grave und aus Basel: The Monsters. Auf dem großen Liedzettel von The Monsters gab es: Speed Racer / The Love I Never Had / Psych Out With Me / I’ve Got The Brain Up My Ass /Pony Tail And A Black Cadillac / Chicken Baby / This Is Rock’n’Roll / Oh Wrong / Fever / You Know Why / Searchin’ / Watcha Gonna Do / Just Leave Me Alone / Acid Dreams / Zuri brönnt / I Kiss You Dead / Play With Fire / High Heels And Mini Skirt / Lonesome Town / I Still Love Her / Black / Tü Da Tü Dad Ü Dad Ü / I See Dead People / I Do What I Wanna Do / Burn My Mind / Dead End Street / Boss / Nightclub / The Other Man / And Then You Cry / I Came From Hell / Diggin My Grave / Wild Wild Lover / Burn In Flames ‘ Fuck My Brain / I’m Going Away Girl / Sonic Nightmares / Seven / Blues For Joe

Double M with The Monsters and Mondo Ray 21.11.2008
Dead Elvis And His One Man Grave and The Monsters were calling Rock The Cam. But unfortunately the dead King had to cancel the gig and Mondo Ray filled the slot. Anyway the party was great and the show was sold out! I mean with the Monsters live…

Geburtstagsfest: 20 Jahre Biohazard 15.11.2008
Dies wurde mit einer Biohazard Original Line Up Tour gefeiert. Und Danny Schuler, Billy Graziadei, Bobby Hambel und Evan Seinfeld hatten beim München Konzert richtig Freude. Die Party ging los mit der Vorband Übergas aus Hamburg, gefolgt von Final Prayer aus Berlin (/ The Void / Broken Mirror / Annihilation / Fashion Parade / In Denial / Goodbye Cruel… / Out Of Content / No Place To Turn / The Anthem / Wartime / Best Of Times /), doch das Publikum kam erst bei Biohazard so richtig in Fahrt. Und zu Liedern wie / Victory / Shades / Tick / Tales / Urban / Survival / Black / D.F.L. / Chamber / Retribution / 5 Blocks / Bad / Love / Wrong / Punish / How It Is / Hold / wurde vor auf und hinter der Bühne richtig abgefeiert.

20 years of Biohazard 15.11.2008
This was celebrated with an original Biohazard Line Up Tour. And it seemed that Bobby Hambel, Evan Seinfeld, Billy Graziadei and Danny Schuler had lots of fun at the Munich show.

1984 and Blood Red Shoes 11.11.2008
From France into the Atomic Cafe: 1984 from Strasbourg were the opening act for the Blood Red Shoes show. And 1984 did a good job. Guitar Rock Music with an own touch (unfortunately only two songs in French, I liked them). And then came Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell, better known as Blood Red Shoes. Lots of good songs on the set list (Doesn’t Matter Much / Try Harder / Say Something Anything / New Song / Getting Boring By The Sea / It Is Happening Again / Take The Weight / You Bring Me Down / Forgive Nothing / Count Me Out / This Is Not For You / I Wish Better) but after 2 ½ songs game over. All a bit strange and not what you really want to see. After about 20min the show continued but it was a shitty strange atmosphere.

Asian Dub Foundation live mit Punkara 08.11.2008

Asian Dub Foundation

Let’s do Punkara with ADF 08.11.2008
A short term decision made me go to Asian Dub Foundation and yeah, Rock The Cam was happy. There was a great crowd in the Muffathalle and a great band on stage. Asian Dub Foundation took over the event with their Jungle Dub Guitar Breakbeat Mix. Taking some concert photos and getting moving to the beat, thanks. Bride Of Punkara / Rise / Take Back / Radar / Target / Riddim / Speed Of Light / Burning Fence / S.O.C.A. / Flyover / Super Power / Ta Deem / Oil / Buzzin / Fortress / Stapal

Danke Mutti für Adam West 01.11.2008
Mein 1.tes mal „Wild at Heart“ und mein letztes mal Adam West. In Berlin spielten Adam West aus Washington D.C. ihr Abschiedskonzert in Europa, um sich dann leider kurz darauf aufzulösen (Secret Service / Juggernaut / ESP: Extra Sexual Perception / Gets Me Off / God’s Gift To Women / Bright Green Horse / Swagger / Stag Party / You’re My Solar Flare / Antelopes & Cantaloupes / Bulletproof / Hot Chocolate / Beyond The Pillars / Sixth Son Of A Seventh Son / Piece Of Ass / Power To The People / I Already Fucked You / When Girls Collide / Hi-Ball / We’ve Got Cake). The Bad Days aus Kiel durften diesen schönen, traurigen Abend beginnen und spielten: Downfall / RSA / Kiss Kiss Bye Bye / Eat My Luck / Rewind The Ballad / Serotonin / Good Lives / Hangover Love / Everybody’s Gotta Pay / R’n’R Addict / Fundamental Things / The Spirit Is Gone / Broken Jaw / The Man You’re Looking For Is Dead / Behind The Times / The Patron

Thanks and good bye Adam West 01.11.2008
Rock The Cam went to Berlin to see Adam West from Washington D.C. Adam West were playing there ever last show (farewell tour) in Europe before splitting up one week later. It was a great gig including flying panties and the opening act called The Bad Days from Germany.

Monster Magnet – You’re Alive 26.10.2008
never really gone but luckily back on stage again: Space Lord Dave Wyndorf with his band Monster Magnet. The great rock show took place at the (I guess almost sold out) venue the Backstage in Munich and Monster Magnet had following songs on the list (Missed the other bands, whatever, Dave kicked ass!): Dopes To Infinity / Crop Circle / Powertrip / Twin Earth / Third / Zodiac Long / Radiation Day / The Right Stuff / Negasonic Teenage Warhead / Space Lord / Melt / Cage / Tractor / Spine Of God

Altpunk TV Smith 19.10.2008

TV Smith Acustic Punk Rock 19.10.2008
Again in Germany on tour and fortunately I made it to the show: TV Smith – the chart punk rocker hehehe. Now 52 and still not ready for the storage track, luckily! Bringing his new album “In The Arms Of My Enemy” to the old and young fans, the evening was well spiced with songs ranging from his beginning to the new stuff. Some titles I remember: Clone Town / Not In My Name / Bring The Bull Down / Expensive Being Poor / One Million Pounds / Small Rewards / The Immortal Rich / Great British Mistake / Euro Disneyland von Morgen / Es stört mich nicht / You Saved My Life And Then You Ruined It / Backstage Bob / Together Alone / I Wish I Could See Clearly / Open Up Your Heart / We Want The Road / New Church / Lord’s Prayer / Useless / No Time To Be 21 / Punk Rock Poem / Gary Gilmore’s Eyes / Bored Teenagers / Generation Y

Six Nation State 1 2 3 4 Fire! 26.09.2008

6NS Welcome back 26.09.2008
Not even 8 months ago, Six Nation State were rocking the Atomic Cafe and fortunately they are back. And like the last time, it was fun watching Six Nation State (Gerry del Guercio, Rich Hanson, Neil Higton, John Maskell and Alexei Roszkowiak) live on stage. They even played new unreleased songs. Takin Me Over / So Long / Keep Dancin / Let’s Make Love / I Hate The Summer / London Lies / Seaside / Doop Song / We Could Be Happy / Take Me There / Everybody Wants To Be My Friend / Bow Your Mind / Why Don’t You Love Me / Up And Down / 1234 / Fire

The Charlatans Cross My Path 20.09.2008
Alte Ravehelden in München.

Some Friendly Charlatans 20.09.2008
Old rave heroes in Munich. The Charlatans came to the Ampere and made the quite big crowd happy. Before Tim Burgess (is this a haircut?) and his Charlatans played, there was Atomic opening this afternoon. It was a nice and great The Charlatans concert with newer and older songs, spiced up with their big hits from LPs like Some Friendly, You Cross My Path and simpatico. Here is the song list: You Cross My Path / Weirdo / Bad Days / Black’n’Blue Eyes / Judas / Mis-takes / Then / Soul Saver / One To Another / The Only One I Know / Oh! Vanity / My Name Is Despair / Bird / The Misbegotten / Your So Pretty / If I Fall / Crashin In / This Is The End / A Day For Letting Go / How High / Sproston Green

Oh no a hard test with Macka B 12.09.2008
I was tired and did not know if I should go to the Macka B concert. At the end I went there and got punished with two not really good German Rap Bands. For me, Rap sucks and these guys were not even interesting for me (no names here). After a long hard wait – a long hard suffering, Macka B and The Royal Roots Band finally came on stage at 0:10 a.m. This was way too late. I was tired and pretty annoyed and in the end even Macka B could not make me feel better. The music was not bad, but I just wanted to get home. Next time Backstage, bring the reggae on at once and leave the Rap wherever…

Festa di Radio Onda d’Urto con Punkreas/Skruigners/Gerson 21.08.2008
Finalmente ce l’ho fatta! Un vero concerto in Italia!

Festa di Radio Onda d’Urto with Punkreas, Skruigners and Gerson 21.08.2008
I finally made it: a real concert in Italy and a quite good one as well. At the Festa di Radio Onda d’Urto in Brescia I was able to take pictures of Gerson, followed by Skruigners and the main act from Milan Punkreas. It was a nice italian punk hardcore night.

Charlie Cinelli – der Otto aus Val Trompia? 16.08.2008

Charlie Cinelli – Rock in Bovegno 16.08.2008
Next night in Bovegno and the next concert. This time it is Charlie Cinelli playing live at the Piazza Zanardelli. Acoustic guitar music and lots of jokes and stories in-between the songs. All this in a strange Italian valley dialect. I got nothing, just pictures, however the people liked it.

Concerto d’estate 15.08.2008
Passt ja voll auf meine Seite, also Ihr Banausen: viel Spaß!

Summer concert in Italia 15.08.2008
While being in Italia, Rock The Cam was able to take pictures of another cultural event for you. In a village called Bovegno (Böegn in Val Trompia), there is an old church which was consecrated 1469, the people of the valley call it Cesa de Hsant Roc in their dialect. And this church of San Rocco hosted the Concerto d’estate featuring: Corale S.Giorgio – Bovegno / Elena Traversi / Giacomo Piazza / Armando Gatta. It is not what you really expect here at Rock The Cam but hey, take a look at this and widen your horizon.

850 Jahre Feier in München 02.08.2008

Green.Frog.Feet

Frog.Feet. Auftritt im Innenhof des Gasteigs zu München.

The Dwarves and EES must die 08.07.2008
Der deftige Quickie hatte folgende Setliste: How It’s Done / Dominator / Way Out / Anybody Out There? / Lets Fuck / Better Be A Women / I Will Deny / Everybodies Girl / Like You Want / Fuck Em All / Demonica / Let’s Get High / Fuck Some Sluts / Speed Demon / Drugstore / Fuck You Up / Get High / Act Like You Know / Backseat / Detention Girl / Astro Boy / Must Have Blood / UnRepantant /

Thanks Heaven For The Dwarves and EES 08.07.2008
Tuesday was Punk Party night at the 59:1 in Munich. From Japan: Electric Eel Shock, from USA: The Dwarves. The crazy cool Electric Eel Shock opened with their fantastic punk metal mix. Lots of cool posing, jumps and great songs. Afterwards The Dwarves came on, kind like a hurricane with a short but intense show. During their Punk Rock set they did not take any prisoner – and suddenly were off the stage. Yeah, The Dwarves must die!

Shai Kid – Comeback Hulud 01.07.2008

Comeback Kid

Shai Hulud spielten: Wake / Venom / Ablaze / Pure / World / Scornful / Love / Soil / Flight / Solely / Heart / Profound /
Bei Comeback Kid standen folgende Lieder auf der Liste: Die / Broadcasting / Talk Is Cheap / Defeated / Partners / Changing / Industry / Trouble / False / All In A Year / Step / Hailing / Wake / Final Goodbye

Phonoboy at the Tollwood Festival 28.06.2008
Fantastic weather and Rock The Cam was on the way to get some pictures of Gentleman & The Far East Band (German Reggae star) for you. But when I arrived there were a lot of yellow posters stating, that due to illness there is no Gentleman and no Jahcoustix show. OK, so I went to another stage and oh no, as well these yellow posters. Fortunately only one of two bands was ill – bad luck if illness takes its toll. Anyway Phonoboy entered the stage and were playing their electro guitar pop with French singing to the people. The set list reads like this: / Ce soir / Petite m / Très chic, trashig / Je m’envole / Ou je rêve, ou je dors / Dans les nuages / Faut tout oublier / A quoi tu penses? / My English… / Qu’est-ce tu attends? / C’est ma vie / Pas de temps / Bleu, blanc, rouge (die neue Single) / Atomique / Ca plane pour moi / Laisser faire / Rendez-vous / Les Cactus / and photos of Phonoboy here on Rock The Cam./

Your Daddy’s Lucky Belly / Skin A Buck /Dead Dog Highway / Black Sheep / I’m Yer Huckleberry / Hookers And Hot Sauce / Taters / 800 Miles / Too Sorry / ? 4 Jahre Shake Your Ass – R’n’R Adventure Kids + Death Ray Music 04.06.2008
Launige Liveaction! Was auch immer. Auf der Liederliste gab es zum Beipiel: Wrong Ways / Dub & Yellow House / High Numbers / Needle To / That Don’t Make Me Feel Good / Getting Better /

4 years shaking that ass 04.06.2008
Viva l’American Death Ray Music, Rock’n’Roll Adventure Kids were playing on the 4 years birthday party of Shakeyourass in Munich. Some pictures of the crazy brothers from the Rock’n’Roll Adventure Kids and as well from the band being around Nicolas Ray called Viva l’American Death Ray Music. The Memphis boys did perform for good. Unfortunately there were not so many visitors (like there should be), but it did not matter to the bands and the audience to make it a good live event.

Beyond Tour mit Dinosaur Jr. 23.05.2008

Awesome Color

Nach der Vorband Awesome Color gab es von Dinosaur Jr. folgendes auf die Ohren: Been There / Budge / Lou2 / Crumble / Pick Me Up / Out There / This Is All / Feel Pain / Raisins / Freak / Kracked / Sludge / Wagon / Forget The Swan

Dinosaur Jr. – Beyond Tour 23.05.2008
They are back and as well back in Germany. Lou Barlow, Murph and J.Mascis, once called Dinosaur and now Dinosaur Jr. There is as well a new album (from 2007) on the market called beyond. After taking pictures from the original line up once in New York (take a look underneath the year 2005) I was able to get some new photos for you from the show in Munich. After the opener Awesome Color was over, Dinosaur Jr. came on stage and noised and guitared me happy.

Muffat Open – Pierced Arrows 21.05.2008

Karl Hlamkin Pierced Arrows

Of Thunder/ Black Rainbows/ Caroline/ In My Brain/ Edge/ Hills On Fire/ Frankenstein/ Ain’t Life; C-U/ On My Way/ Up On A Cloud/ Lost/ Walking Wounded; Shades/ The Wait/ Paranoia/ It’s OK/ Can’t Help Falling In Love/ 54/40 Or Fight/ ?

Muffat Open with Pierced Arrows 21.05.2008
Here we go again, another great event done by the team of the Muffathalle. First I was able to catch a band from Germany called Instrument. Then I went to take live pictures of Karl Hlamkin & Inflammable Orchestra, a Russian formation playing an interesting mix of Ska, Latino Balkan Rock. Unfortunately I was not able to understand the comments in between the songs (neither the songs) due to the fact, that my knowledge of Russian language is too poor. But to get back to the music, they have rocked the Ampere. Afterwards I went to see Pierced Arrows, quite famous for being the band which came after the end of Dead Moon. Fred and Toody Cole are from Dead Moon and both are in Pierced Arrows. There was a change of person at the drums (now it is Kelly Halliburton, before it was Andrew Leomis), but that was all! Luckily same great and fantastic shit like they did with Dead Moon: dirty low-fi garage punk rock. Great stuff and here are some concert photos from this event. And my advise, try to catch them at least once live on stage.

Skaos: Tempest and rain, 30.04.2008
this year the bad weather took over the DGB laut.stark. festival on the Marienplatz in Munich. Three bands were there and Rock The Cam missed the first one (due to work), to arrive in windy shitty rainy weather. Although Skaos played their good mood Ska music, it was a pity that the sun did not come out anymore. I watched them for a while but left home through the puddles of water. It was to uncomfortable today.

Einfach immer wieder hingehen.

Norway Part II: Kaizers Orchestra – Maskineri 09.04.2008
Kaizers Orchestra again! Great, just a fantastic live band and the light man was really superb. Good show, banging oil drums with sticks, hitting wheel rims with a jimmy, the man on the organ playing with a gas mask, catchy and moving songs and a singer communicating with the audience. Surely next time again (you should go as well!) and this was the set list: Maskineri / 9 mm / Sigöynerblod / Ompa til du dör / Bön fra Helvete / Blitzregn Baby / Volvo i Mexico / Mann mot mann / Kontroll Pà Kontinentet / Enden av november / Kvite Russen / Delikatessen / Resistansen / Apokalyps meg / Maestro / KGB / Hevnervals / Bak et Halleluja / Deiter Meyer / Katastrofen

Ein Killer Aufgebot: Deadly Sins / Against Me! / Dropkick Murpheys 06.04.2008
Hier die News der Songliste: Up The Cuts, Cliche, New Wave, WP4P, Trash; Pints, P+V, Energizer, Americans, Sink, Stop, Touch and Ocean

Killer Line Up: Deadly Sins / Against Me! / Dropkick Murphyes 06.04.2008
Three bands on tour: the “for me unknown” Deadly Sins, again (fortunately) Against Me! and always good to see them Dropkick Murphys. It seemed to me that Deadly Sins are about to start in the music biz, Against Me! were just great again (and my highlight) and the “you should have seen them at least once” Dropkick Murphys. Unfortunately it was rescheduled from a nicer place to the Zenith, which I do not really like (too big, too cold, too baeh).

Turbostaat: It seems to be like that 28.03.2008
Turbostaat, a German band from the north came to the Backstage in Munich to celebrate. After two great LP on Schiffen (“Schwan” and “Flamingo”) is now their third album “Vormann Less” around. It is quite a while since seeing them in a really small club and they got better over the days. Lots of action on and in front of the stage, no wonder with songs like / Der Frosch hat’s versaut / Haubentaucherwelpen / drei Ecken – ein elvers / Tristesse / Harm Rochel / Blau an der Küste / bei Fugbaums / Charles Robotnik seine Frau / Prima Wetter / Insel / Monstermutter / Peteranjesiehnsöhn / Vormann Leiss / hau ab die Schildkröte / 18:09 Uhr. Mist, verlaufen / Schalenka Hase / Thank you till next time.

Bloodlight High Energy Rock’n’Roll 05.03.2008
Shoot Dolores brachten folgende Lieder unter das Volk: I Breath Air / Now Or Never / Some Kind Of Heat / Dead For Me / Evil Liaison / New Vision / Feed Her Ass / Massacre / Day By Day / The Things I Loose / Und die “Blutlichter” aus Oslo (Norwegen) spielten: / Bullshit On Your Mind / Where The Stars / Hammer And The Wheel / Against The Flow / New Rose / Danger Zone / Rain On A Sunny Day / Easy Target / Bloodlights / One Eye Open / Bald And Outrageous / (Over When I Am Done) Silly Thing / Addiction

Bloodlights from Norway to Germany 05.03.2008
Shoot Dolores and Bloodlights were playing in Munich. The place to be this night was the 59:1. Shoot Dolores played a kind of „Stoner Doom Rock“.
And the headliner Bloodlights having Captain Poon – Glucifer fame – in the line up, came around with dirty kick ass rock’n’roll

Fun For Free mit FFH + Sons And Daughters 23.02.2008
Samstag Abend im Februar in der Muffathalle, Fun For Free mit zwei Bands: Five! Fast!! Die handgeschriebene Setliste von Adele Bethel (Sängerin von Sons And Daughters) hatte folgende Lieder auf dem Zettel: Goodbye Service / Red Receiver / Rebel With The Ghost / The Nest / Hunt / The Bell / Gilt Complex / Rama Lama / Darling / Taste The Last Girl / Dance Me In / Johnny Cash / House In My Head / Broken Bones / Chains

Sons And Daughters at Fun For Free 23.02.2008
This event took place at the Muffathalle on a Saturday night. Lots of people came to see Five! Fast!! Hits!!! from Munich and Sons And Daughters from Glasgow. Just a few days ago I saw FFH and it was good to see them again. However, it was the first time for me seeing SAD, but I am sure not the last time. The new record “The Gift” is out on the Domino Label and the success so far is fair, cause live they are a good one.

FiveFastHits + SixNationState 05.02.2008

FFH & 6NS 05.02.2008
Having a home match at the Atomic Café, Five! Fast!! Hits!!! from Munich were playing following songs to bring the club into party mood for the headliner: / Do This Thing / Best Of Both Worlds / Primal Scream / At The Station / Mr. Marone / Bad Bargain / Kick And Rush / Don’t Stop Me Rumbling Around / The Real McCoy / Hunting The Tombstone / Dandy In The Din / I’m A Mugwump / Reload / Got Any Mantras / Insane Saint / So it was quite easy for Six Nation State from the UK to take the party feeling to a fantastic party feeling. Great live band and worth checking! Here are the songs I could figure out: / Everybody Wants to Be My Friend / New Song / Keep Dancing / So Long / Country Song / I Hate the Summer / We Could Be Happy / New Song (I don’t care for you no more) / Just Hide Yourself Away / I’m Feeling Happy / Caught The Sun / Where Are You Now? / Up & Down / Blow Your Mind / Taking Me Over / 1, 2, 3, 4 / Can’t Let Go / Fire!

Punk Rock Doppelschlag – UK Subs The Vibrators, 25.01.2008
Was macht ein 64 jähriger Punk Rocker freitags abends in München? Das hier gab es auf die Ohren: Emotional Blackmail / Left For Dead / Rockers / New York State Police / Crash Course / Kicks / TV Blues / Police State / Endangered Species / Ice Age / You Don’t Belong /Barbie’s Dead / Quintessentials / I Couldn’t Be You / Tomorrows Girls / Warhead / Riot / Stranglehold / Limo Life / Party In Paris / Disease / C.I.D. / I Live In A Car / Waitin

UK Subs + The Vibrators: Punk Rock double night, 25.01.2008
What can a 64 year old Punk Rocker do on a Friday night in Munich? Drink two or three beers while The Vibrators are playing their set at the Feierwerk, then take the mic and kick ass! So did Charlie Harper and his gang the UK Subs on the 25.th of January. A blue haired drummer provided the rhythm together with the man on the bass (Alvin Gibbs) and an unbelievable jump king Nicky Garratt (I was really impressed by the Jumps) was plying the guitar. And Mr. Harper sang for us lots of hits.
