Mal wieder das Kafe Kult in München und der Laden gefällt mir einfach. Mal wieder ne tolle Band und wer hätte es gedacht, mal wieder aus Kanada. Leider waren nicht so viele Leute da, aber das hat No Problem mal gar nicht gekümmert. Die Liveshow ging voll ab. Graeme der Sänger ließ sich nicht stören und knallte voll rein. Auf der Bühne: Action mit Punk Rock und Saudummgesicht Posing, Sprung zum Publikum und immer wilde hin und her. Dann noch die No Problem Musik (Hardcore Punk) dazu, die live natürlich auch richtig gut zündet. Schöner Event.
And again the fabulous Kafe Kult, and again a band from Cananda and again a good show. This time it was No Problem playing live and even the few audience did not prevent the band from having fun and performing a great gig. The singer Graeme did the punk rock and make a silly face posing, then went down to the audience to get contact and and and… wild and loud, exactly what you expect from a hardcore punk band concert. Thanks No Problem.

Nach der ausverkauften Stadiontour über mehrere Erdteile verteilt, haben die Sonic Avenues den Kontakt zur Fanbasis nicht verloren und spielten einfach noch ein paar kleine, intime Gigs hinterher. Nachdem ich mit dem Promotor Dinge gemacht habe über die ich hier nicht schreiben will, konnte ich ein begehrtes Einlassticket für das Konzert im Kafe Kult in München ergattern. Schön für Dich, denn hier kann ich die Sonic Avenues Bilder präsentieren. Dann hatte ich noch Glück und habe Max kurz abgefangen, um ein schnelles Interview zu bekommen. Der Nebeneffekt war, dass die ganzen Mädels gedacht haben, auch ich bin wichtig….
After a sold out stadium tour all over the world, the Sonic Avenues made it happen for their real fans to see them again at some special, small and personal venues (I got them at the Kafe Kult in Munich). Don’t you ask me what I had to do to the promoter (or better what he did to me) to get one of these limited entrance tickets. And even if you ask, I will not tell you! But anyway it is good for you cause now you can take a look at the Sonic Avenues live concert photos from their event at the Kafe Kult. Things get even better, I was lucky to get Max to do an interview, which is finally live now.

Das war mal wieder ein Spaß, das Kafe Kult hat gerufen und glücklicherweise konnte ich auch hingehen, denn an dem Abend gab es zwei Bands aus Kanada: Sonic Avenues als Headliner und das Event eröffnen durfte die Steve Adamyk Band. Vor Beginn konnte ich mit Steve Adamyk ein Interview führen und dann ging der werte Herr mit seinen Jungs gut los im kleinen Raum vom Kafe Kult. Einfach guter, Power – Punk Rock. Genügend Härte und Kanten, genügend Melodie und kleine Bühne mit Musiker die das für den Fun machen: sehens- und hörenswert und gerne bald wieder.
Luckily I could make it to the Kafe Kult cause two Canadian bands were there to play. The headliner was Sonic Avenues and the opener was the Steve Adamyk Band. Before the show I was even luckier to get an interview with Steve Adamyk done. And the show? Come one: Power Pop Punk Rock not too hard, not too cheesy, a little stage and musicians playing who do it for the fun, the show was fun! Hopefully I am lucky next time when Steve Adamyk Band comes to Munich again.

Record Release Show (LP namens -Das letzte Lied der Zeit- raus auf schlecht und schwindlig) im Kafe Kult für die Münchener Band The Rancors! Zuvor gab es Volxverätzung und danach noch Dean Dirg. The Rancors bezeichnen Ihre Musik als Streetpunk und ich glaube das passt auch (was genau ist eigentlich Streetpunk?). An dem Konzertevent gab es auf der Bühne den Olli am Gesang, an der Gitarre den Flo, die andere Gitarre hat der Andy bearbeitet, dann spielte der Mike den Bass und das Schlagzeug ließ sich von Wiggal verhauen.
Kafe Kult had three bands this evening and the second band was The Rancors. They had a record release show (LP called Das letzte Lied der Zeit) and a home-match cause they are from Munich. Nice show in street punk style and on stage were Olli (Voice), Andy (guitar ), Flo (guitar), Mike (bass) and Wiggal (drums).

Deutschpunk zum Konzertauftakt im Kafe Kult (gefolgt von Rancors und Dean Dirg). Sind Volxverätzung aus Bayern? Ich glaube schon, gesehen habe ich Volxverätzung im Kafe Kult und die Musik hat schon Druck und geht ab, nur der Gesang hat mir auf Dauern dann nicht wirklich was gegeben. Wollte noch dick die Infos dazuschreiben, aber die habe ich nicht und ich finde auch nichts dazu außer dass es eine Split CD mit Wilde 13 gibt.
At the Kafe Kult in Munich it was Volxverätzung playing and I would file the sound under Deutschpunk. The music has power and drive but after a while the voice just gives me nothing. I think Volxverätzung are from Bavaria and the only other info I found is that there is a split CD out with Wilde 13.

Was erwartest Du von einem Konzertabend wenn auf dem Poster steht, dass der legendary King of Power Pop back in Europe ist? Also ich habe Power Pop erwartet und den gab es auch. Paul Collins Beat sind nun auch schon ein paar Jahre unterwegs und kennen/können ihr Metier. Schöner gitarrenlastiger PowerPop. Hat mich gefreut Paul Collins mal live zu erleben und Konzerte im Kafe Kult sind immer auch schön familiär. Das alles wegen einem Lied (I Always Got You On My Mind), welches gar nicht gespielt wurde, trotzdem rundum gelungen und beim nächsten Mal bin ich wieder dabei!
I Always Got You On My Mind. A friend had a sampler (Greetings From The Sunny Beach – Best Of Closer) with this song on it and I had it then on tape (maybe 25 years ago?). And this Paul Collins Beat song never got out of my brain and I was pleased seeing that Paul Collins Beat came around to perform at the Kafe Kult in Munich. The legendary king of Power Pop on stage. Old men playing for not so young people, I liked it. Unfortunately I did not here “I Always Got You On My Mind” but fortunately I could see Paul Collins Beat live and I could take some photos. Enjoy.
