Geile Motivsingle, sieht echt klasse aus. Darauf zu finden gibt es das Lied Columbus Feeling, welches vom aktuellen Album bekannt ist. Dies geht komisch los, wird dann aber eine typische Spermbirdsnummer – Just Be Yourself!
Und dann gibt es noch als exklusiven Verkaufsanreiz den Song Jobless Gun Collector: schnell, immer drauf und Lee’s Stimme, haben die Spermbirds mit Lee Hollis jemals was wirklich schlechtes rausgebracht?

Spermbirds -Tour -Vinyl picture

Great piece of vinyl artwork, the Spermbirds 7” tour single. Including two songs: Columbus Feeling is known from the album: starts a bit strange but ends up like a Spermbirds song. Then comes an exclusive one called Jobless Gun Collector, like all songs from Spermbirds with Lee, it is a good one. I have a copy but unfortunately just the looser format…

Mit dabei waren folgende Gruppen (am 25.06.2010, wo ich leider nicht mit dabei war): The Ironic Pirates, Biestig, The Peacocks und Null8sprachrohr. Am 26. ten habe ich Konzertfotos von diesen Bands gemacht: The Headlines, TV Smith, Skannibal Schmitt und die Spermbirds.

These Bands played on the day I haven’t been there: Null8sprachrohr, The Peacocks, Biestig und The Ironic Pirates. And on the 26 th of June 2010 I took pictures of the following bands: Spermbirds, The Headlines, Skannibal Schmitt and of TV Smith.

Spermbirds 26.06.2010 Jahninselfest Regensburg


Spermbirds

Für mich ein glückliches Wiedersehen mit der deutschen Hardcore Punk Legende Spermbirds. Lee Hollis meinte zwar er ist auf Antibiotika wegen einer Krankheit, davon war beim Auftritt aber nichts zu spüren. Mit Americans are cools ging es los und ab ging das Spermbirds Feuerwerk. Viele Jumps auf der Bühne, lustige Zwischensprüche von der Bühne und ein Pogo-Mob vor der Bühne. Einfach schön mit einer Band zusammen älter zu werden, welche auch nach Jahren Ihr Ding durchzieht. Fazit: ein klasse Gig von den Spermbirds auf einem tollen Jahninselfestival im sonnigen Regensburg.
Unter anderem gab es diese Songs hier zu hören: Americans Are Cool / Set An Example / You’re Not A Punk / Common Thread / Neighborhood Relations / Bed Tool / Stronger / Texas Cowboy / Say It Loud / Bloodstains / Nothing Is Easy / Try And Stop Us / My God Rides A Skateboard / Knife Thrower / Only A Phase / Try Again

Finally I was able to catch the Spermbirds again. I was happy to get some concert pictures from their gig at the Jahninselfest in Regensburg. And it was a good show during a good open air. Spermbirds with Lee Hollis is always fun to experience spiced up with some Jump action on stage!
