Ich bin ja so einfach zu haben und das nur mit nem tollem Äusserem. Warum die Erkenntnis?
Demons coloured vinyl LP (lecker rot) namens Scarcity Rock. Ist es ein Zufall, dass der 1.te Titel Signal Turns Red heisst? Egal, weiter geht es. Bei mir scheint die Band sich auf dem Backcover verewigt zu haben und als Beilage ist noch die CD drinne: mein Rock The Cam – auf die Knie!!!!
Jetzt kommt das Innere der Demons Platte mit folgenden Lieder:
Signal Turns Red / Grease The Rails / Translucent Nights / Pagan Bible / Edgar Allan Poetry / Credit Card Fraud / Don’t Bite The Juju Hand / Needless & Pills / Dark End Of The City / Exit Happiness / Gang Fight On Easy St. / At War W Everything
Beginnen tut die Scheibe mit einem Intro: „The Collapse Of A Civilization“ und geht über in den R’n’R Punkrock, der das Album dominiert. Dazwischen darf die Gitarre auch mal nen Solo spielen, wie dies ja von einigen Schwedenschweinerockbands gepflegt wird. Insgesamt flutscht Scarcity Rock gut durch und mit den letzten zwei Nummern kommt nochmals richtig Schwung ins Ohr.
Some private confession, I am so easy to manipulate. Why? I start with the look and the overall package – Alaska Productions did a great job here with this Demons record: red vinyl, signed cover and a free CD included.
Getting inside – the music – 12 songs based on Punk and R’n’R. Quite common among Swedish rock bands the guitar is even doing some solos. Scarcity Rock includes some variations in style (but always on the Punk’n’Roll fundament) and the last two songs (Gang Fight + At War W/ Everything) really wanna make you get out your knife.
