Give 22.11.2014 Kafe Kult München

Give

This was one of a show hey, I mean the singer went berserk and kicked it: Give live at the Kafe Kult in Munich. All the trendy magazines write that Give do play the DC-sound, if so, then it it is so, perhaps cause Give are from Washington? Anyway good show from Doug Free, Gene Melkisethian, Ian Marshall, John Scharbach and Ben Schultz on their tour with Piss Test.

Piss Test 22.11.2014 Kafe Kult München

Piss Test

Piss Test from Portland USA have their records out on Taken By Surprise from Munich, so when PissTest played the Kafe Kult in Munich it was almost a home match. Good fun. And what does Taken By Surprise write about them?
Zachary Brooks, Samantha and Rodrigo deliver snotty punk jams. They are the biggest band in Europe.

Honeymoon 22.11.2014 Kafe Kult München

Honeymoon

Another nice concert evening at the Kafe Kult in Munich and it was a triple package for the ears. It started with Honeymoon and they are coming from Nuremberg and they were loud and furious.

And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead 09.11.2014 Ampere München

And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead

Neue Platte, neue Tour und neue Bilder für dich: And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead waren wieder unterwegs, diesmal in der Ampere. Ich freue mich schon auf mein nächstes And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead Konzert.

New record out, new tour and new pictures for you: And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead came to Munich to play at the Ampere. And the concert was a bit like the new record, started out a bit calmer, impulsive but not wild. Ongoing it got harder. What did I write the last times about the Trail Of Dead shows? Intensive and this is what it was again and what Jason Reece, Conrad Keely, Autry Fulbright II and Jamie Miller are just really great in doing! OK; Autry did not do such extreme body workout on the floor but he went down from the stage to play a while out of the audience. To put a long story in a nut shell: happy to see And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead soon again!

Your Favorite Enemies 09.11.2014 Ampere München

Your Favorite Enemies

And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead came to the Ampere in Munich and before them there was Your Favorite Enemies playing. Fortunately I was in time and I could catch this Canadian band. Good one and to finish the show, Miss Isabel, Ben Lemelin, Sef, Alex Foster, Charles Allicy and Jeff Beaulieu all went down from the stage to play directly with the audience. Party with Your Favorite Enemies!

Kill It Kid 24.10.2014 interview Stephanie Ward – Chris Turpin

You Owe everything to Kill It Kid?

If you did not hear about Kill It Kid from UK, please check out their page and listen to their songs. And if you do, be sure to catch them on stage.

After I have seen them playing at the fantastic Atomic Café in Munich (what a good gig) I was able to meet them backstage for a little interview. Although I refused to eat their Pizza, Stephanie Ward and Chris Turpin gave me some minutes: a friendly gang they are.

Kill It Kid Stephanie Ward Kill It Kid - Chris Turpin

RTC: If your music would be a film, what kind/ genre would it be?
KIK: A road movie for sure!

RTC: Should your film entertain/ teach/ make something aware to the people?
KIK: It should leave you with an Ohhuuu
(What a funny Ohhuuu-face Stephanie was making to the sound of Ohhuuu)

RTC: Should your music entertain/ teach/ make something aware to the people?
KIK: Stephanie smiling
The music of Kill It Kid should leave you with an Ohhuuu (and now Stephanie and Chris smiling all over the face)

RTC: Why should more people listen to Kill It Kid?
KIK: Because the music on the radio is shit (Fast answer from Chris)

Then we had a little discussion being filled with noise from people/ movement in the backstage room about Kill It Kid leaving Bath and that the best club there burned down and the other good one is/ was The Nest (?) and as well the famous last question I did not get completely (unfortunately).

RTC: Imagine you are god and you can set up a festival, name me your five headliners (even dead people or dissolved bands):

KIK: Antony Jones + Billy Armstrong together
Free
Aretha Franklin
Led Zeppelin

Ahhh by the way, they have a new LP out on Sire Record which is called You Owe Nothing and you should consider to purchase the yummy vinyl version! I did…
