Kaiser Chiefs

Mit Hits wie I Predict A Riot, Modern Way, Oh My God waren die Kaiser Chiefs im Atomic Café in München am Start. Die Bude war voll, die Stimmung gut, Kaiser Chiefs gaben alles und es war einfach ein top live Event. Ricky Wilson, Andrew „Whitey“ White, Simon Rix, Nick „Peanut“ Baines und Nick Hodgson haben das Atomic gerockt und mit Ihrer live Show jeden überzeugt. Danke Kaiser Chiefs.

They have hits like Modern Way, Oh My God and I Predict A Riot and they came to Munich to the Atomic Cafe: Kaiser Chiefs from UK. And the Atomic Café was packed, the mood was fantastic, Kaiser Chiefs rocked and all in all it was a superb live event. Guess nobody could stand still and Kaiser Chiefs really burned the stage down, thanks Ricky Wilson, Andrew „Whitey“ White, Simon Rix, Nick „Peanut“ Baines and Nick Hodgson for this great evening.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Zum zweiten Mal im Jahr 2002 durfte ich den Black Rebel Motorcycle Club wieder live erleben. Diesmal auf dem Southside Festival in Neuhausen ob Eck. Tja, Festival haben was aber ganz so wie im Atomic war es dann doch nicht mehr. Tageslicht, zu früh, zu viele Leute, aber egal, ich fand sie wieder gut und ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Konzert mit Black Rebel Motorcycle Club und Rock The Cam. Ach ja, diesmal war der BRMC vollständig: Nick Jago, Peter Hayes und Robert Levon Been.

My second time in 2002 that I was able to see Black Rebel Motorcycle Club again. This time Robert Levon Been and Peter Hayes had their original drummer Nick Jago with them. The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club gig was great although it was a bit different to the Atomic Café here at the Southside Festival in Germany (daylight, quite early, festival people…). Still hopefully catching BRMC soon again!

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Das ist ja ein Happening, das erste Mal dass ich ins Atomic Cafe in München gegangen bin (schöner Laden, gefällt mir) und auch mein erstes Mal mit Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Das Atomic war richtig voll und die Stimmung gut. Auch wenn BRMC eher düster auf der Bühne waren, mit den Songs haben die Jungs (Robert Levon Been, Peter Hayes und Peter Anthony Salisbury als Ersatz für Nick Jago) gewonnen. Ihre Platte ist unheimlich klasse und auch live bekommen das Black Rebel Motorcycle Club umgesetzt.

My first time in the Atomic Cafe in Munich and I like this place. And my first time that I could catch Black Rebel Motorcycle Club live on stage. The Atomic Café was packed and with the songs from their great debut LP Black Rebel Motorcycle Club did win the audience and me as well. It was a dark gloomy performance, fitting to their name and image. Whatever happened to my Rock and Roll? It’s there with BRMC and it’s great!

Fuck Yeah 10.08.2016 Theatron München


Fuck Yeah

Da konnte ich mal wieder zum Theatron Sommerfestival gehen, was ich ja schon immer klasse finde. Leider hatte es heute nicht viel mit Sommer zu tun. Beim Fuck Yeah Auftritt war es noch immer feucht und richtig frisch, nicht schön, immerhin hat es nicht geregnet. Für mich zum Sehen und Anhören gab es Fuck Yeah. Fuck Yeah sind Kevin Ippisch, Markus Naegele, Michael Metzger und Rainer Germann aus München. Auf Ihrer Webseite nennen Sie die Musik Underground Rock Entertainment. Um ehrlich zu sein fand ich es zwischendurch eher etwas zäh, irgendwie ging da nix. Zum Schluss haben die Jungs dann aber die Kurve gekriegt und gerockt. OK es war schwer bei den Umständen einen Hexenkessel in Brand zu setzen, aber ich glaube ein bisschen mehr Druck hätte auch den Mittelteil spannender gestaltet. Bin gespannt auf das nächste Mal, denn ich glaube wissen wollen es FuckYeah!

Finally I was able to go to the Theatron summer festival again (Munich), I really like it. It is a free open air with a nice setting and relaxed people. This time at the Fuck Yeah gig it unfortunately had nothing to do with summer, as it was raining the whole day, it was still wet and chilly, happy that it did not rain. Fuck Yeah is a band from Munich and they call their music “underground rock entertainment”. Sounds interesting, however I had the feeling in the middle of the gig that it was a bit slow and a bit boring. I know with these conditions it is hard to start a fire but a bit more rock would have been better. But they somehow felt it themselves and the last part of the show then rocked. Guess next time I see them I can say ummhhh or Fuck Yeah!

Bad Religion 17.07.2016 Tonhalle München


Bad Religion

Und die Punk Rock Legende Bad Religion war zurück in München. Bespielt wurde mal wieder die Tonhalle und es war ein schönes Fest. Mir hat es dieses Mal sogar noch besser gefallen, als beim letzten Mal. Wie immer ein volles Programm von alten Hits bis neuen Liedern und klasse vorgetragen von Mike Dimkich, Greg Graffin, Jay Bentley, Brian Baker und Jamie Miller.

And finally Bad Religion were back in Munich, again in the Tonhalle were the party was! This time I think it was even better than their show in 2010. Full program of Greg Graffin, Mike Dimkich, Brian Baker, Jay Bentley and Jamie Miller playing old and new hits. Great evening with Bad Religion and see the concert pictures here.

Rideau 17.07.2016 Tonhalle München


Rideau

Eine unbekannte Band war da mit Bad Religion unterwegs, Rideau aus Schweden. Wie Rideau das hinbekommen hat, boahhh aber dabei waren sie. Die Jungs haben gut eröffnet und bisher gibt es ein selbstbetiteltes Album.
Waren OK, mehr weiß ich nicht zu schreiben, aber zum Glück gibt es hier ja die Rideau Fotos zum Anschauen von Gabriel Öbergs, Carl Magnus Palms und dem Rest aus der Tonhalle zu München.

An unknown band was on tour with Bad Religion, it was Rideau from Sweden. How Rideau made it on the tour, don’t know but they did! They open up fine with their Rock’n’Roll Punk and here are the photos from the Rideau show out of the Tonhalle in Munich.

Viking 17.05.2016 Fotevikens Museum Höllviken

In Schweden durfte ich das Fotevikens Museum in Höllviken besuchen und dort gab es unter anderem eine Wikinger R’n’R show, na ja…
Aber war schon toll und hat gut geklungen was da auf der Maultrommel abgerockt wurde.

While in Sweden I was able to visit the Fotevikens Museum in Höllviken. Lots of things to see and to do and as this is Rock The Cam, here is the Viking rock show (more or less). Interesting what sound such a jaw harp can make.
