Lysistrata was? Genau! Aus Frankreich kommen Théo Guéneau, Max Roy und Ben Amos Cooper und auf der Bühne im Universum war es ein echtes was??? Eine geile intensive Gitarre, Bass, Schlagzeug Gesangsexplosion. Indie Mathrock Hardcore Dampfwalzen Punk, auf jeden Fall haben Lysistrata einen super Vorband-Job hingelegt, dabei die Anwesenden verwirrt und begeistert. Knallt gut rein.

Lysistrata what? Yes! From France are Théo Guéneau, Max Roy und Ben Amos Cooper and their Lysistrata gig was a real what? Intense and powerful math rock, indie hardcore punk… They did a great job as opening band on this night in Stuttgart at the Universum and left a confused and excited audience for Pascow.

Ólafur Arnalds 02.03.2019 Philharmonie München

Jetzt hat es Rock The Cam auch in die Philharmonie in München geschafft, denn dort gab es Ólafur Arnalds live! Ich kannte den Herrn von einem Projekt namens Kiasmos und war offen für Neues. Was für eine Location, schon mächtig die Philharmonie, obwohl bei Sitzplatzkonzerten fühle ich mich meist etwas verkehrt am Platz. Jedoch konnte Ólafur Arnalds voll überzeugen. Schöne ruhige Musik und tolles stimmungsvolles Licht dazu (leider war fotografieren nur hinter dem Mischpult erlaubt – mit 50mm Festbrennweite). Irgendwie entspannend und fesselnd das Ganze und nach dem Konzert gleich noch das RE:MEMBER Album gekauft.

RE:MEMBER that is what I do! I remember the Ólafur Arnalds concert at the Philharmonie in Munich with a happy smile on my face. Relaxed atmosphere, piano music with strings and some electronic add-ons. Wanted to mention at this point that the strings did not come out of the electronic box but were played live, so there were about five people on stage. Complemented with a nice light show, it was an impressive gig and I had to buy the new album RE:MEMBER at the merch stand straight after it was over.

Death Valley Girls 20.02.2019 Monarch Berlin


Death Valley Girls

Klasse, mein zweites Konzert der Death Valley Girls und etwas aufgeregt war ich schon. Habe ich die Band zuerst in den USA gesehen und beim Konzert gefeiert, wusste ich nicht, ob Sie das auch überm Teich können. Ins ausverkaufte, volle und tropfende Monarch in Berlin gegangen und lasst Euch sagen, auch hier haben Death Valley Girls abgeliefert!
Bonnie Bloomgarden, The Kid Laura Kelsey, Larry Schemel und Nikki Pickle kommen aus LA und spielen einen gitarrenbetonten wüsten Mix aus Garagen Punk Fuzz, Sabbath Riffs und irgendwie auch verzerrtem Riot Girl. Der Soundtrack zur Satansmesse im B-Horror Movie und live mit Freude vorgetragen und einfach geil.

Rock The Cam on a trip to Berlin to see the Death Valleys Girls for my second time. Was able to catch them once in Vegas and now I was a bit excited if they can deliver on this side of the ocean as well. Had to find the sold out and heated up Monarch Club in Kreuzberg / Berlin and had to suicide squeeze my way to get a place to see them.
What a show! Let me tell you that DVG delivered and how much fun it was to be part of that gig. The Death Valley Girls are from Los Angeles and on the Darkness Rains tour it was Larry Schemel, Bonnie Bloomgarden, The Kid Laura Kelsey and Nikki Pickle on stage. Enjoy the pictures and sometimes go see them live.
