Descendents - Milo Aukerman

Oh Mann, when I get old, dass ich das nochmals erleben durfte: Descendents live! Schon lange her, dass ich die Band auf der Bühne sehen konnte und hey, Rock The Cam war aufgeregt. Dann kamen die Herren auf die Bühne und der Herr Milo Aukerman in Lederhosen und darunter das Ramones Museum Berlin T-Shirt. Was für ein Aufzug! Statement im Backstage in München war gesetzt, wir sind in Bayern und dann ging es los. Was für eine Freude, ein Descendents Kracher nach dem anderen. Danke Milo Aukerman, Danke Stephen Egerton, Danke Karl Alvarez und Danke Bill Stevenson.

Wow, it’s been long long time since last seeing the Descendents and let me tell you, their latest LP Hypercaffium Spazzinate kicks ass and I was really really excited to see them again this time in Munich at the Backstage. How often will Rock The Cam has the chance to catch them again live on stage?
Showtime: Milo came on stage with a Lederhose (leather pants), boah what a statement and of the party went. One Descendents hit after the other, what a special great concert. Thank you Bill Stevenson, thank you Stephen Egerton, thank you Karl Alvarez and thank you Milo Aukerman.

Monster Bash in München? Ja, einige interessante Bands, aber die hier wollte ich dann doch unbedingt sehen: Flag. Groß angekündigt wurde das folgendermaßen: Original members Keith Morris, Chuck Dukowski and Bill Stevenson with Stephen Egerton performing the music of BLACK FLAG. Da ich Black Flag nie sehen konnte, musste der Ersatz her und voila, hier sind Konzertfotos von Flag live auf der Bühne im Zenith in München beim Monster Bash Festival 2013.

Advertising wrote this: Flag – original members Keith Morris, Chuck Dukowski and Bill Stevenson with Stephen Egerton performing the music of BLACK FLAG. I mean hey, this is a musical announcement, I have never seen Black Flag, let’s take the “substitute”. This and lot of other good bands at the Monsterbash Festival in Munich, the place to be on this Saturday in April 2013. And I luckily was, chill and take a look at the Flag concert photos from this live event.

DESCENDENTS – I’m The One – Epitaph

Schönes, blaues Vinyl und schöne vier Lieder auf der 7″ Single von Karl Alvarez, Milo Auckerman, Bill Stevenson und Stephen Egerton namens Descendents.
Los geht es mit dem Hit „I’m The One„, gefolgt von „Everything Sux“ (genau umgekehrt wie zu Beginn der Everything Sucks LP). Also haben wir zwei bekannte Lieder und auf der B-Seite die Goodies, es gibt „Lucky“ und „Shattered Milo„. I’m The One ist klasse (auch nach 14 Jahren noch ein melodiöser Überhit), Everything Sux ist heftiger, Lucky ist wieder ruhiger – fast schon Pop Punk, Shattered Milo dann wieder flotter. Descendents, so muss intelligenter Melodiepunk klingen, manchmal zuckersüß und dann wieder ins Härtere abdriftend.

DESCENDENTS - I’m The One Vinyl Cover

Nice blue Descendents vinyl and nice 4 songs on this 7″ single. It starts with a hit (even after 14 years it really gets me) called I’m The One followed by a faster tune named Everything Sux, both known from the LP Everything Sucks. On the b-side first it is Lucky which is quite calm, almost pop and last and least Shattered Milo, which picks up some speed again. To put the whole story into a nutshell, Descendents – yeah this is the way intelligent melody punk rock must sound like.
