Zola Jesus 29.09.2011 Berghain
Ahhhh, da war ich letzte Woche in Berlin und heute gibt es das Zola Jesus Konzert im Berghain. Das hätte mich ja mal auch interessiert, aber heute ist Berlin zu weit weg, da bleibt mir nur das Konzertplakat zu posten….

EMA spielte und Rock The Cam ist hingegangen. Mit dabei waren die Ganglians aus Sacramento – USA. Ryan Grubbs und seine Jungs haben gerade eine neue Platte raus (Still Living) auf Souterrain Transmissions und um ganz ehrlich zu sein, war das live nicht so der Brüller, das klang etwas belanglos. Es gab ein zwei schneller Lieder und die waren OK, doch der Rest…
Muss mir mal die Konserve anhören!
This night the Ganglians from Sacramento – USA opened up for EMA. The Ganglians are Ryan Grubbs and his gang. They have a new record out on Souterrain Transmissions called: Still Living. The concert at the nice Festsaal Kreuzberg venue was not really the most exiting one, to tell the truth, what the Ganglians showed on stage was a bit boring. Just the one or two song with a bit of action and life could make a little impression.

Justin Sane 12.09.2011 Kafe Marat München
Wird der Punk Rock alt und müde oder nimmt er gerade eine Auszeit? Die Frage stellt sich mir gerade weil immer mehr Punk Rocker gerade Akustik gehen. Heute hatte ich die Freude Justin Sane im Kafe Marat zu hören und zu erleben. Bekannt ist Justin Sane eigentlich von seiner Politpunktruppe Anti Flag. Und hier solo und mit Akustikgitarre. Schön war es und was mir sehr gut gefallen hat, waren die Geschichten zwischen und zu den Liedern. Nebenan meinte doch einer zur Musik, das klingt schon sehr Clashig.
What is going on? Is Punk Rock getting old or just taking a break? Somehow it seems to me that there is a Punk goes acoustic virus? Anyway, I did not want to miss it! This night it was Justin Sane playing at the Kafe Marat in Munich. Did not had much to do with Anti Flag (his punk band) but it was a good show. What I really enjoyed beside the acoustic songs was that Justin Sane was telling lots of stories between and about the songs.

Wow, da ist Rock The Cam echt mal beeindruckt, beim Isarinselfest 2011 habe ich gelernt was wahre Konzertfotografie ausmacht!
Der Kollege hat da mal echt eine beeindruckende Foto- und Blitzanlage aufgefahren…

Ich gebe es ja zu, mein erstes Mal, dass ich Peter Pan Speedrock aus Holland vor die Kamera bekommen habe. Bart „Bartman“ Geevers (Bass), „Bart Bartje“ Nederhand (Schlagzeug) und Peter „Piet“ van Elderen (Gitarre / Gesang) spielen Speed-Rock und werden oft als die Motörhead aus Holland (Eindhoven – Rockcity) verglichen. Somit ist eigentlich schon beschrieben, was Peter Pan Speedrock beim Festa Di Radio Onda D’Urto auf der Bühne gemacht haben: Rock! mir war es aber auf Dauer dann doch etwas zu eintönig.

Bart Bartje Nederhand (drums) , Peter Piet van Elderen (voice+guitar) and Bart Bartman Geevers (bass) do play Rock and are sometimes described as the Dutch Motörhead. And now you can guess what Peter Pan Speedrock did play on stage: Rock!
