Split 7” SCAREY RECORDS SCR 040 (2009)
Welch Freude, da treffe ich einen Kollegen und dieser überreicht mir einfach so die Split 7” Single von The Bulemics und The 13th Victim. Tja zwei Bands von denen ich noch nie etwas gehört oder gelesen habe. Coverbild ist korrekt und der Rest der Hülle (zwei Fotos) ziemlich trashig. Erschienen ist dies Stück Vinyl auf Scarey Records (auch noch nie gehört), aber eine 7“ ist schon mal gut, rotes Vinyl noch besser, also stimmt mich das doch schon mal positiv.
Anlage an und das rote Baby dreht sich auf dem Schallplattenspieler. Die The Bulemics Seite hat drei Songs: „Bloodsucking Freaks“ / „Bring It“ / „Cut Yourself“. Nach den ersten Tönen drängt sich mir Dayglo Abortions auf und auf der Schiene geht es weiter. Ob eine Kopie / Neuinterpretation davon gut oder schlecht ist – dürft Ihr entscheiden, aber ich möchte hinzufügen, dass ich Dayglo Abortions schon ziemlich geil finde! Argh Fuck Kill – will heißen The Bulemics werde ich mir gerne live antun.
Weiter geht es, auch auf der The 13th Victim Seite sind drei Lieder drauf: „Put Out Or Get Out“ / „Wasting Our Lives“ / „Diary Of A Whore“. Lied eins ist rotzig und bollert (hack hack Schlagzeug), überschlägt sich fast. Klingt nach früheren Jugendtreffkonzerten (End 80er Anfang 90er GEIL!). Punk HC Schiene, schön rau. Auch Lied Nummer zwei ist rotzig und ordentlich drauf, dabei gibt es mehr Rock Anklänge (Gitarre macht so ein bisschen ein Glucifer-Touch). Diary Of A Whore, da werden wieder keine Gefangenen gemacht, ist nicht überproduziert, aber die Qualität ist gut.
FAZIT: wie oft ich mir die Single noch auflegen werde weiß ich nicht, auf nen Mixtape passt das aber auf jeden Fall und jetzt haben es The Bulemics und The 13th Victim mit diesem Stück Vinyl auf jeden Fall auf die live Hingehliste geschafft.
Some friend came around and had a present for me: the split 7“ single from The Bulemics and The 13th Victim. To tell the truth, I have never heard of them. Some data about the single, cover picture is all right, inside two quite trashy photos. Vinyl is in red color and the label is Scarey Records (as well never heard of it) and what a nice new baby! The Bulemics side has three songs called „Bloodsucking Freaks“ / „Bring It“ / „Cut Yourself“. While spinning the record on the first few tunes I somehow get a Dayglow Abortion feeling and it stays like that, by the way I really like Dayglo! My result: Argh Fuck Kill – I am sure that it would be cool seeing The Bulemics live on stage.
On The 13th Victim side another three songs named: „Put Out Or Get Out“ / „Wasting Our Lives“ / „Diary Of A Whore“. Some rough production but the quality is correct. First song is snotty and sounds like end 80s – early 90s youth center concerts (what a great wonderful time). Second one is again snotty but has in my impression more rock appeal (guitar reminds me bit of Glucifer). Last one doesn’t take no prisoners as well!
Result: nice one and good to have in my single collection. Like all vinyl babies I do not know how often it will be allowed to spin on my record player, but The 13th Victim and The Bulemics made it with this piece of red vinyl on my go see them live list!
