Seit 30 Jahren unterwegs und immer wieder eine Freude: Bad Religion aus den USA. Das Aushängeschild in Sachen Punk Rock mit intelligenten Texten und melodiösem Gesang. Viel „Schuld“ daran hat Greg Graffin der Sänger und Songwriter der Band sowie nebenbei Hochschullehrer und Doktor. Und was gab es in München? Lieder von den verschiedenen Bad Religion Platten und ordentlich Vollgas. Vor dem Lied Generator durfte das Publikum abstimmen, ob dies schnell oder langsam vorgetragen werden soll „it is a democratic process; you want it fast or slow, raise your voice for slow and raise your voice for fast“ – sehr eindeutig, nur ein paar wollten es langsam. Oh yeah, ohh yeah! War mal wieder gut Bad Religion live auf der Bühne zu sehen (und Fotos zu machen natürlich auch).
Munich on a rainy Monday night, Bad Religion in a sold out venue called Tonhalle. Lots of young people but even more older models around. But all wanted to have fun with Greg Hetson (guitar), Brian Baker (guitar), Greg Graffin (voice), Brooks Wackerman (drums) and Jay Bentley (bass). Since 30 years Bad Religion exist and the show was packed with hits from all the different times albums.
And it seemed to me, that everybody got what they expected, fast melodic punk rock songs performed by a punk institution called Bad Religion. And new album “The Dissent Of Man” out soon!
