Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg 21.07.2019 Backstage München

Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg

Zeitsprung oder so ähnlich, Gabba Gabba one two three four und ab dafür!

Time warp, kind of: one two three four and action, full speed! On this Sunday evening it was Marky Ramone playing in the Backstage in Munich. Good crowd from old to young and Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg delivering. Kind of a Ramones show but right here and right now. Marky Ramone (one of the last three living Ramones) on drums, another famous punk rocker playing the guitar (Greg Hetson from Circle Jerks / Bad Religion), Martin Blitz on Bass (and hey did he killed it, I just mention jumpssssss) and Pela on mic. Guess he has a quite tough job, being himself but on stage being a second Joey Ramone. Pela did a good job and the voice and look fit. Great evening with songs for eternity. Hope to catch Marky Ramone and his Blitzkrieg boys somewhere again.

BAD RELIGION – The Dissent Of Man – Epitaph

Epitaph 86988 2010

+ black vinyl

BAD RELIGION - The Dissent Of Man - Epitaph

Old heroes, new albums, it is always a difficult thing. How many good and how many bad hours did you spend accompanied by the music of Bad Religion? And now adding new stuff to all these memories and feelings? Yes, if not why did I purchase „The Dissent Of Man“ from Greg Graffin, Jay Bentley, Brett Gurewitz, Brian Baker, Greg Hetson and Brooks Wackerman?
The new Bad Religion LP starts with some songs which sound like old stuff (although Bad Religion always sounds like some other songs of them – some say it is always the same some, just a bit different – fortunately I like this song) then there is some kind of Radio-song. When Bad Religion hits the speed it just fits better to them. I prefer the A-side and after several runs I can say it was no mistake purchasing the record, but Suffer and No Control were there before and are the milestones of Bad Religion.

Bad Religion 02.08.2010 Tonhalle München 30 years Tour

Bad Religion

Vor dem Lied Generator durfte das Publikum abstimmen, ob dies schnell oder langsam vorgetragen werden soll „it is a democratic process; you want it fast or slow, raise your voice for slow and raise your voice for fast“ – sehr eindeutig, nur ein paar wollten es langsam. Oh yeah, ohh yeah!

Munich on a rainy Monday night, Bad Religion in a sold out venue called Tonhalle. Lots of young people but even more older models around. But all wanted to have fun with Greg Hetson (guitar), Brian Baker (guitar), Greg Graffin (voice), Brooks Wackerman (drums) and Jay Bentley (bass). Since 30 years Bad Religion exist and the show was packed with hits from all the different times albums.
And it seemed to me, that everybody got what they expected, fast melodic punk rock songs performed by a punk institution called Bad Religion. And new album “The Dissent Of Man” out soon!
