Ferocious Fucking Teeth

Ferocious Fucking Teeth machen ganz schön einen drauf auf und vor der Bühne! Beleuchteter Totenkopf von irgendeinem Vieh, zwei Schlagzeuger, zwei an der Gitarre und ein Derwisch und Schreihals in einem auf und vor der Bühne. Da geht was, ganz coole Liveaction von Ferocious Fucking Teeth. Der Sound ist wild, verzerrter Gesang und zum Teil erinnert mich das von der Gitarre an St. Vitus. Ganz schön heftig war das bei der Safety Meeting Records album release show im Don Pedro in Brooklyn New York.

Wow, Safety Meeting Records album release show from Ferocious Fucking Teeth in New York at the Don Pedro. And wow what Ferocious Fucking Teeth performed on and in front of the stage. Some animal skull with lightning, two drummers, two on guitar and a singer/shouter with lots of action in his ass! Loud and chaotic, the sound sometimes had a Saint Vitus touch and the voice was distorted. Loud and dirty and a live event pleasure!

We Ride

Krachig, Garage, Speed – We Ride – out on the run. Hat mir richtig gut gefallen. Dreckig.
Auch wenn die Jungs (Bass: Stephen McColl, Guitar + Gesang: Rhett Mataix, Schlagzeug: Aaron Boroughs) noch keinen Output auf Tonträger draußen haben, waren We Ride der Highlight für mich. Für mich die Band des Abends bei diesem Konzert im Don Pedro in Brooklyn New York.

Noise, Garage, Speed – out on the run. I really enjoyed it! We Ride I liked most this evening. Dirty and loud. Although on the run since 2009 there is no release out until yet, but I am sure Aaron Boroughs (drums), Rhett Mataix (voice + guitar) and Stephen McColl (bass) will deliver that sooner or later. What they delivered live at the Don Pedro was fun. We Ride kicked this evening.

Eula 20.01.2012 Don Pedro New York


Eula

Is this a clapping croud or not? Welch Frage von Alyse Lamb der Sängerin, welche auch die Gitarre spielt. Eula sind des Weiteren noch Jeffrey Maleri am Bass und Nathan Rose am Schlagzeug. Die Musik ist tanzbar und hat Ausflügen ins noisige. Etwas riot girl (is halt so mit Frau am Gesang die singt und zwischendurch auch lauter wird). Ach ja, heute im Don Pedro hat mir Eula sogar noch ne Spur besser gefallen als gestern in der Music Hall Of Williamsburg.

Got them yesterday live and today again: Eula. They are coming out of New York and Eula are Jeffrey Maleri (bass), Alyse Lamb (vocals, guitar) and Nathan Rose (drums). And this time at the Don Pedro I liked it more than yesterday, guess the smaller stage was the reason for the little bit better.

GDFX 20.01.2012 Don Pedro New York


GDFX - Greg Fox

Ein Typ (Greg Fox) auf der Bühne der am Synthie spielt und dann zum Livedrumming übergeht. Das ist GDFX. Ein anderer ist am Folienleuchter (alter Overheadprojektor) mit durchsichtigem Teller und Flüssigkeit, der den spacy Hintergrund macht (obwohl der Lichtshow-mensch wohl gar nicht dazugehört). Je nach Synthie sound eher treibend oder eher ruhiger chillig spacy. GDFX live im Don Pedro war cool.

On stage at the Don Pedro in Brooklyn is a guy (Greg Fox) who is playing with his synthesizer and then changing to live drumming. This is GDFX. Another one is handling the overhead projector with some liquid on a plate; he brings spacy lightning to the stage (although I later found out this guy is not belonging to GDFX – but did fit perfectly). Depending on the synthesizer sound it was all more pumping or a spacy chill sound. Interesting and good opener for the evening.

New York City – poor vinyl – Sol Aramendi

Uhhh, irgendwie hat das wehgetan als ich bei einer Galerie in den Flur geschaut habe. Auch wenn die Platten wahrscheinlich nicht wirklich gut waren, sind es immer noch Platten! Und so mit Vinyl umzugehen, tut mir halt weh….
Scheint ein Kunstwerk von Sol Aramendi zu sein, was ich da vor mir hatte und vom Eingang aus abgelichtet habe, irgendwo in Manhattan – New York.

this hurts! When I was around in Manhattan – New York I took a look at an entrance from a gallery and I could see lots of vinyl. Although I guess these records are/were not really good, they are still records. And seeing all these vinyl like this; just hurts me somehow. Now I found out, it is art from Sol Aramendi what I have photographed from the doorstep.

Mission Of Burma 19.01.2012 Music Hall Of Williamsburg New York


Mission Of Burma

Mal wieder alte Helden, wobei ich glaube dass dieser Status eher in den USA gilt, denn in Europa sind Mission Of Burma aus Boston nicht wirklich bekannt (gewesen). Heute Abend spielten Roger Miller (Gitarre/Gesang), Clint Conley (Bass/Gesang), Peter Prescott (Schlagzeug) und Bob Weston (Tape Manipulator) in der Music Hall Of Williamsburg. Die Show war ohne viel Schnick Schnack, einfach nur 3 (4) nicht mehr ganz junge Kerle auf der Bühne, Ihre Instrumente und Ihre Songs. Fazit: Mission Of Burma haben gerockt!

This evening the NYC concert night life took me to the Music Hall Of Willemsburg. Mission Of Burma from Boston live on stage! Exactly the Mission Of Burma! And what Clint Conley, Roger Miller, Peter Prescott and Bob Weston performed was a good rock show. Three (4) older guys on stage, their instruments and their songs! Yeah! That’s when I reach for my camera…
