The Drift

Sehr sphärisch und langsam. Bilder die sich in Zeitlupe ineinander verweben. Mit Bass (Trevor Montgomery) Gitarre (Danny Paul Grody) und Schlagzeug (Rich Douthit) musikalisch auf der Bühne kreiert. The Drift aus San Francisco / USA live in der Theaterfabrik in München. Im Gepäck ihr neues Album „Blue Hour“ raus auf Temporary Residence Limited.

Spherical and emotional music. Pictures changing in slow motion, this was what The Drift from San Francisco showed on stage at the Theaterfabrik in Munich.
Rich Douthit, Danny Paul Grody and Trevor Montgomery (The Drift) did suit well as opening band for Explosions In The Sky.

Herman Dune 28.09.2011 Ampere München


Herman Dune

Diesen Mittwochabend habe ich mich aufgemacht, um in der Ampere die Band Herman Dune anzuschauen. Herman Dune sind David-Ivar Yaya und Cosmic Neman aus Frankreich, auf Tour mit dabei ist Ben „Herman Dune“.
Jetzt beim Schreiben sitze ich in der Bahn und hey war das schön! Da kam mal wieder alles zusammen, guter Sound im Laden, gute Musik, eine wirklich klare Stimme, meist gute Laune machende Liebeslieder und ein dankbares Publikum. Herman Dune meinte mal zwischen den Liedern: „It’s a good vibe“ und aus dem Publikum kam zurück: „very good vibe!“ Dem ist nichts weiter hinzuzufügen. Vielleicht noch Strange Moosic….

I went to the venue Ampere in Munich to see Herman Dune and to cut a long story short: nice! A nice place with a good sound, good mood love songs from the band and an unbelievable clear voice meets a thankful audience. Really nice the Herman Dune concert. What did he say once in-between the songs? „It’s a good vibe“ and someone from the people answered: „very good vibe“. It leaves me with nothing more to say…

The Movement 04.10.2011 Orangehouse München


The Movement

Aus Kopenhagen haben sich The Movement in München zum Konzert angekündigt. Die wie heißt es schön? Die dänische „Modrock“ Band besteht aus Lukas Scherfey (Gesang und Gitarre), Chandu Chodavarapu (Bass) und Kasper Rasmussen (Schlagzeug). Im Vorfeld zum The Movement Auftritt im Orangehouse hatte ich mit Lukas Scherfey gemailt und er schrieb mir als Tschüss Satz: It’s gonna be fun, see you soon, cheers Lukas.
Und dem ist eigentlich nichts mehr hinzuzufügen, das The Movement Konzert war Spaß!

Coming all the way down from Denmark, The Movement were in town to play the Orangehouse in Munich. The Movement are from Copenhagen and the band members are Lukas Scherfey (guitar and voice), Kasper Rasmussen (drums) and Chandu Chodavarapu (bass) and they are still living the dream. Before the gig I was mailing with Lukas and at the end of the mail he wrote me following: It’s gonna be fun, see you soon, cheers. And it was fun, therefore there is nothing more to say!

Cashless

War es bei der Opening Band dailysoap noch ziemlich leer, konnte festgestellt werden, nun gab es schon mehr Leute im Publikum und auch mehr Druck von der Bühne: Cashless aus dem schönen Bayern mit einem guten Liveauftritt und auch schönen Refrains. From Sparks To Fire!

That was a good one! Cashless from somewhere in Bavaria playing the Orangehouse. Tight and powerful performance. Streetpunk turns to Rock, to mention also the nice refrains containing several voices.

DailySoap 04.10.2011 Orangehouse München


Daily Soap

Don Hermann, Wes Wicked, Tom Tarek, Mel Roxy und Felix (dailysoap) hatten es nicht einfach bei der Live Vorstellung Ihrer LP Heart Money Soul. Beim Konzertbeginn war nicht wirklich viel los im Orangehouse und dank Krankheit der halben Band (Propagandalüge auf die Rock The Cam natürlich reinfällt) war auch nicht mit dem Bühnenvulkan zu rechnen, schade, aber beim nächsten DailySoap Konzert dann!

It was about 8 years ago that I have seen DailySoap here at the Orangehouse and tonight another show for their new HeartMoneySoul album! Some changes did happen and actually dailysoap from Freising are Wes Wicked, Tom Tarek, Don Hermann, Mel Roxy and Felix. Due to the fact that some of them were ill (stupid excuse they gave me) the whole performance did somehow miss the action. Anyway here are the dailysoap live pictures.

Ein ausverkauftes Haus im 59:1 an diesem Samstag Abend: Frank Turner live in München! Das letzte mal im gleichen Club hier als Einheizer für Gaslight Anthem (damals noch solo und Akustik) nun mit Band und als Headliner.
Warum? Weil Frank Turner live einfach gut ist, tolle Songs, echte Energie und Spielfreude, einzig die Konzertdauer von circa einer Stunde bietet Platz für Kritik.

Second time in Munich, second time sold out! Last time as opener for Gaslight Anthem (solo and acoustic) and this time Frank Turner with band and headliner! And another great concert. Frank Turner stands for good songs and a great, energetic live show. The only little minus is for playing too short (about one hour)
