So lieber Rock The Cam Leser, was erwartest Du von einem Konzert wenn auf dem Poster die Band folgendermaßen angepriesen wird: Heavy Psychedelic 70’s Stoner Fuzz Space Rock – to blow your mind?
Na was erwartet Rock The Cam hier vom Black Rainbows Konzert im Keller Klub in Stuttgart?
Genau, eine gute Show mit Gitarre und heavy psychedelic 70’s stoner fuzz space rock!
Soviel vorweg, die gab es auch. Gabriele Fiori, Giuseppe Guglielmino und Fillippo Ragazzoni haben geliefert. Solange die Lieder Druck hatten, war es richtig gut, so nach der Mitte gab es dann bei einigen Stücken zuviel Gitarrensoli und die Songs waren einfach 3 Minuten zu lang. Dennoch hat sich Black Rainbows nochmals gefangen und zum Schluss kam wieder mehr Power und Druck in die Stücke. Black Rainbows kommen aus Rom und was hatte mir mein Kollege aus Italien mitgegeben: die spielen stoner doom metal fuzz und sind mit die beste Band in diesem Genre, habe Spaß und hey, den hatte ich!

And hey, on their tour poster Black Rainbows were advertised as Heavy Psychedelic 70’s Stoner Fuzz Space Rock to blow your mind. Yes, Gabriele Fiori, Giuseppe Guglielmino and Fillippo Ragazzoni made it, a good show with good music. In the middle of the set it got a bit too spacy and fuzzy, the songs were 3 minutes too long for my taste but when they went back to more pressure and drive, it rocked again!

Junge Mädels aus Phönix Arizona auf Europa Tour: Doll Skin.
Im Vorfeld reingehört und gedacht, da geht was! Also am Dienstagabend in den Keller Klub in Stuttgart gegangen und mich auf Doll Skin gefreut.
Meghan Herring, Alex Snowden, Nicole Rich und Sydney Dolezal sind Doll Skin und hey, kicken live richtig Arsch! Ein Mix aus Punk, Rock und Metalltouch und vier Girls die gut abgehen. Da kam richtig Energie rüber und mich hat es gerockt. Auch die Vier hatten Spaß und haben eine tolle Show geliefert. Im Anschluss dann noch eine CD (Manic Pixie Dream Girl auf EMP) gekauft (Vinyl war leider nicht mit auf der Tour dabei) und mit Glück gibt’s für dich später zu den Doll Skin Konzertbildern dann noch ein Interview. Doll Skin from Phoenix Arizona first time on tour in Europe! I had the chance to see Doll Skin at the Keller Klub in Stuttgart. Came across this band on some music zine and while listening to some songs I thought: would be great to catch them live cause they surely will provide a good kick ass gig. And when Nicole Rich, Sydney Dolezal, Alex Snowden and Meghan Herring took the stage it was like this. At the beginning there was some tension in the air (calm before the storm) and then there was energy! Great show what Doll Skin put out paired with good music. Not really riot girls, not really Punk, not really pop, not really metal but a great mix of everything and damn did they rock! They had fun on stage, we had fun off stage, good vibes and sharp music, some covers (hey Fugazi is alive, although they are lying – they are not a patient boy, maybe a patient girl, hahaha). First time in Europe and if they keep on going like this, Rock The Cam will be there the next time again. My prediction, if they kick it like this and stick together they have a good chance to return in bigger venues!

Unter der Woche ab in den Keller Klub in Stuttgart. Doll Skin aus Amerika waren die Hauptband und das Schwäbische Gewächs Gisela von Hinten durfte eröffnen. GvH spielen Deutsch Punk Rock, nicht spektakulär jedoch unterhaltsam. Ein paar Coverversionen von Punk Rock Klassikern und viel Text übers Saufen, na dann Prost wer darauf steht. Dazu noch Statements wie: Scheisse bleibt Scheisse, Arbeit bleibt Scheisse, Punk bleibt Punk. Genieße hier die Gisela von Hinten Konzertfotos.
During the week I went out to the Keller Klub in Stuttgart to see Doll Skin from USA. It was Gisela Von Hinten to open up and they are from the Stuttgart area. GvH do play German Punk Rock and in their fringing set some German punk classics are integrated. Sometimes good, sometimes mmmhh, so was my first Gisela Von Hinten show!

Sonntagabend in München, Rock The Cam geht ins Backstage um The Dwarves zu sehen! Black Dahlia und seine Mannen auf Europa Tour zur neuen Take Back The Night Platte.
Vor Jahren durfte ich The Dwarves schon Mal live erleben und irgendwie habe ich diesmal das Gefühl gehabt, ganz so frisch wie vor 10 Jahren war das nicht. So ganz ist der Funke bei mir nicht übergesprungen.
Sunday night and Rock The Cam makes it to the Backstage Club in order to see The Dwarves. Black Dahlia and his band on their European tour to the new album called Take Back The Night.
Years ago I was happy to catch them live, but on this evening I had the feeling that somehow The Dwarves are not so fresh anymore. Could not really electrify me this show, maybe next time again.
