Rock The Cam on a mission

How much can an old man take?
Rock The Cam wants to know it!

The mission is: 3 weekends, 3 countries, 3 festivals

I know that out there, there are tougher ones, but I don’t care, sometimes one needs a mission and this is my mission for June 2015: The Festival Mission!

 

Part 1

Download Festival 12-14 June 2015

So the plan is going to UK and to enjoy the Download Festival at Donington Park. Reasons why?
– UK is always cool and famous for its fantastic weather (trying to get sunburned).
– Seeing the ’spiritual home of British hard rock‘
– It fits to my schedule.

Hurricane Festival 19-21 June 2015

Next festival stop is planned at the Hurricane Festival in Scheeßel Germany. Reasons why?
– Cause Hurricane is Hurricane.
– It’s totally stupid to travel through Germany from the South to the North, foolishness is always good.
– It fits to my schedule.

Bråvalla Festival 25-27 June 2015

To end the threesome I have chosen Bravalla Festival in Sweden. Reason why?
– Sweden rocks!
– Swedish girls (rock the cam).
– It fits to my schedule.

And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead

Neue Platte, neue Tour und neue Bilder für dich: And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead waren wieder unterwegs, diesmal in der Ampere. So wie die Platte so war der Beginn, etwas ruhiger, sphärischer. Treibend aber nicht wild. Doch mit der Zeit hat sich dies gesteigert und es wurde heftiger. Was habe ich zu den Konzerten von Trail Of Dead zuvor geschrieben? Intensiv; und das war es mal wieder was Jason Reece, Conrad Keely, Autry Fulbright II und Jamie Miller geboten haben. Diesmal war Autry nur kurz am Boden, dafür spielte er eine lange Zeit aus beim Publikum in der ersten Reihe. Ich freue mich schon auf mein nächstes And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead Konzert.

New record out, new tour and new pictures for you: And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead came to Munich to play at the Ampere. And the concert was a bit like the new record, started out a bit calmer, impulsive but not wild. Ongoing it got harder. What did I write the last times about the Trail Of Dead shows? Intensive and this is what it was again and what Jason Reece, Conrad Keely, Autry Fulbright II and Jamie Miller are just really great in doing! OK; Autry did not do such extreme body workout on the floor but he went down from the stage to play a while out of the audience. To put a long story in a nut shell: happy to see And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead soon again!

Es ist so weit, 2015 ist am Start und ich wünsche alles Gute, viel Gesundheit, Erfolg und tolle Konzerte!
Und wer mal so richtig zeigen will was R’n’R für einen bedeutet, der predigt dies auch auf der Straße.

State Radio 08.03.2013 Backstage München


State Radio

State Radio live? Auf jeden Fall und immer wieder gerne!
Chad Urmston und seine beiden Kollegen haben mit einem genialen Mix aus Roots Reggae und Rock, das Publikum im Backstage in München auf abwechslungsreiche Erlebnisreise geschickt!
Faszinierend war die Lockerheit die sie auf der Bühne ausgestrahlt haben und genau diese ,,positiv vibrations‘‘ hat man im Publikum gespürt. Ohne special effects, sondern mit einem nahezu perfekten musikalischen Zusammenspiel und unverwechselbaren Improvisationsgeschick, haben sie einen ,,Flow‘‘ kreiert in dem man sich nur allzu gerne verlieren und treiben lassen wollte. Ein Beweis dafür war das unerwartete Text sichere, meistens als eher konservativ geltende Münchner Publikum, das die Band bei fast allen Songs kräftig unterstützt hat! Thumbs up dafür!

Die Perfekte Vorarbeit dazu haben The Skints geleistet. Relativ unbekannt zwar aber live eine absolute Waffe! Die vier haben der Tanzwütigen Menge schon vorab ordentlich eingeheizt! State Radio hat die Steilvorlage dann in meisterlicher Manier verwandelt!
Das Fazit also: Ein absolut gelungener Abend mit zwei fantastischen Bands! München braucht mehr Davon!!!!

Chad Urmston and his two colleagues did send the audience at the Backstage in Munich with their great mix of roots reggae and rock on a fantastic experience trip.
Fascinating how relaxed they have been on stage and how these “positive vibes” were absorbed by the once not on stage. Without special effects but with a tight interplay State Radio created a flow, on which it was fun to be taken away.

Willie Nile November Germany American Ride

Heute gibt es einen Blogartikel zu Willie Nile. Ihr kennt Willie Nile nicht? Tja ich auch nicht, aber ich werde Euch kurz schreiben warum der Herr trotzdem hier auftaucht: Über drei Ecken kennt jemand jemand und dieser jemand will dass ich Willie Nile pusche und ist so locker mir eine Eintrittskarte fürs Konzert zu besorgen. Klingt doch gut, jetzt ist mal Rock The Cam wirklich auf der Überholspur!
Leider kann ich gar nicht zum Konzert von Willie Nile gehen, da ich aber so viel Elan belohnen will, habt Ihr vor Euch diesen Willie Nile Artikel.

Today you find a bit of a strange post, it is about Willie Nile. You don’t know Willie Nile? Well it was the same for me, but now I will let you know why you find a post about Willie Nile on your favorite concert picture webpage: somebody from somebody I know wants that I feature Willie Nile and he even is organizing me a ticket, which is quite impressive in my opinion. Unfortunately I cannot go to the show but so much motivation needs to be rewarded, therefore this Willie Nile post. Start

Schneller, härter, lauter, bunter, größer, dicker – Rock The Cam. Tja das hat ja alles mal um einiges länger gedauert als geplant, aber hier ist Rock The Cam wieder zurück. Und neu zurück!
Bald voll mit Konzertfotos, Bilder von Tickets und Tourpostern (auch ein paar Interviews sind am Start) und jetzt muss ich nur noch das passende erste Konzert aussuchen…

It took a long time to redo Rock The Cam, but finally RTC is back – and new! Means it is faster, harder, cheesier, longer, bigger and whatsoever. Soon it will be packed again with concert pictures and tour poster, photos of ticket and even some interviews (right now I just have to figure out with which concert I should begin…)
