Steve E Nix mit den Cute Lepers haut mal wieder 2 gute Laune 77er Jahre Punk Smasher raus, viel Drive, viel ahaaahhhaaaas. Bei den Cute Lepers weiß man was man bekommt! „Damaging Acts“ hört leider viel zu schnell auf und auf der Flip gibt es „Don’t Believe The Numbers“ was etwas langsamer und nicht ganz so klasse wie die A-Seite ist, aber trotzdem immer noch das Prädikat gut bekommt.

AUTISTIC YOUTH – COLA FREAKS – Taken By Surprise

1500 Stück Split 7″ mit zwei heißen Bands. Die A-Seite vom schwarzen Gold gehört Autistic Youth aus Portland / USA mit zwei Liedern. „Find Me Here“ ist ein geht-nach-Vorne-los-Stück, mit Garagentouch und Sehnsuchtsgefühl, gefällt mir sehr gut. „Same Problem“ schlägt in die gleiche Kerbe. Zu hören und zu lesen gibt es zu Autistic Youth oft den Wipers-Vergleich, nicht von der Hand zu weisen und nun steht das so auch auf Rock The Cam.
Auf der B-Seite kommen die Cola Freaks aus Arthus / Dänemark zum Zuge. „Jeg Et Problem!“ klingt wie 77erRumpel Garagen Punk Rock (erinnert mich vom Sound her an The Damned – New Rose). „Parnoid“ tönt wie Ramones auf Dänisch! Anscheinend hatte da Jay Retard seine Finger im Spiel und war wohl der Aufnahmemensch.

Here comes a split 7“ on lovely black vinyl including an insert sheet. Autistic Youth from Portland-USA starts with 2 songs on the A – side. “Find Me Here” and “Same Problem” are both great tunes, drifty and with a kind of aspiration feeling on it. You often read about Autistic Youth sounding a bit like The Wipers, while listening, you know why.
On the B – side there are Cola Freaks from Denmark. “Jeg Et Problem!” and “Parnoid” sound like old punk rock songs (First reminds me of The Damned with New Rose, second one Ramones comes into my mind). Add a bit of garage sound and if you read that Jay Retard was recording this, then you know!

Zwei Tage ohne Schnupftabak

Irgendwie cool, die Band sehe ich eigentlich immer wenn ich Leatherface sehe. Bisher haben sich die Berührungspunkte (weder live noch auf Konserve) nicht anders ergeben. Doch als Vorband waren Zwei Tage : ohne Schnupftabak immer souverän. Kein Dumpfpunk, sondern was korrektes.
Aus Regensburg nach München und auf Rock The Cam taraaaaa – 2 Tage: Ohne Schnupftabak!

Funny thing, all the time I see Leatherface live I have the chance to see Zwei Tage : Ohne Schnupftabak as well. Somehow it did not work out in another way (not live not on record). Anyway, they are doing their own Punk Rock thing and it is cool to catch them live. From Regensburg to Munich and on Rock The Cam – two days without snuff (2 Tage ohne Schnupftabak)

BLACK BUG – Television Screen – Red Lounge Records

Was für ein Ding, 3 Lieder von Black Bug auf dieser „Made in Karlsruhe“ Single.
„Television Screen“ = LoFi Gitarrensound, verzerrte Stimme, macht eine verstörte, bedrückte Stimmung: gefällt mir richtig gut.
„wir zerlegt“ klingt für mich so wavig LoFi, so Invicible Limits – Devil Dance mäßig, auch das kann was!
„Nightstick“ auf der B-Seite macht auch auf bedrohlich / elektro Stimmung, kommt aber nicht an TV Screen ran.

BLACK BUG - Television Screen 7 inch Vinyl Cover

Here is a 7″ single „made in Karlsruhe“ with three songs from the band Black Bug.
It starts with „Television Screen“ which is a LoFi guitar song. Distorted voice and it creates a deranged, threatening mood, I really like it.
After that there is „wir zerlegt„, gothic- wave feeling and another LoFi sound. First impression is that it reminds me of „Devil Dance“ from Invisible Limits and this is still a good one.
On the B-side is „Nightstick„, as well an electro threatening piece of music, but TV Screen is better.

MIRIAM MAKEBA – Pata Pata – reprise records

Na die 7″ liegt auch schon ne Weile auf dem Abzuhörenstapel und dank Clali ist sie jetzt dran. Miriam Makeba mit Pata Pata und The Ballade Of The Sad Young Men. Für den Plattenspieler gab es eine neue Nadel und diese wurde nun eingeweiht. Zu hören gab es Pata Pata, kennt man aus dem Radio, ein gute Laune Stück mit einem gewissen Oldie Bonus. Ist gut mit einem relaxten Grinsen zu hören.
Die B-Seite taugt mir hingegen gar nicht, ist so langweilige Nachtbar Plitscher Platscher Musik.

MIRIAM MAKEBA - Pata Pata Vinyl

It is a while that I have this 7″ on file: Miriam Makeba with Pata Pata and The Balled Of The Sad Young Men. Today is the day, I bought a new needle for my record player and on with the black vinyl. Pata Pata is known from the radio, a good mood song with an extra oldie bonus – Pata Pata is the name of the dance. On the B-side is a quite boring „night bar background rippling” song.

EXPERIMENTAL POP BAND – Punk Rock Classic – City Slang

Auf der Experimental Pop Band Scheibe gibt es 1x Punk Rock Classic und auf der anderen Seite 1x Soft Rock Classic (le Hammond Inferno remix). Irgendwie klingt das nach ziemlich uninspiriertem dance beat, brauch ich nicht.
