Da hat sich doch ein wichtiger Termin verschoben und so durfte ich dann zum Glück zu Get Well Soon und Konzertfotos von der Vexations Tour in München machen. Das Konzert wurde von der Ampere in die Theaterfabrik verlegt und war auch da richtig voll. Konstantin Gropper meinte auch: „wir sind ein bisschen aufgeregt. Ich glaube wir hatten noch nie soviel Publikum und das in München, ich hatte gedacht wir hätten uns da immer blamiert.“ Diesen Abend sicher nicht. Lieder von der neuen Vexations Platte und Stücke von der „Rest now! Weary Head you will get well soon“ Platte wurden vorgetragen und auch begeistert vom Volke angenommen. Get Well Soon überzeugten mit einem stimmigen Auftritt, tolle Lieder, verschiedene Spannungsbögen (mal schnell, mal ruhig mal leiser) und im Hintergrund zu der Musik passende Filmcollagen. Gut gemacht Get Well Soon (Konstantin Gropper / Veronika Gropper und und Timo, Marcus, Maxxi Paul….
Lucky Rock The Cam, I was able to take concert pictures of Get Well Soon. They were doing an atmospheric gig in Munich during their Vexations Tour. Songs from the new Vexations LP and from their 1st album called get well were performed and the packed Theaterfabrik was on fire. Great performance of Konstantin Gropper and his Get Well band including nice film snippets balanced to the music.
Im 59:1 in München spielten Against Me! aus Gainsville. Tom Gabel, James Bowman, Andrew Seward und neu am Schlagzeug George Rebelo (bekannt von Chuck Reagan) hatten den ausverkauften Laden auf ihrer White Crosses Tour gleich von Beginn an im Griff. Los gings mit High Pressure Low und dann gab es einen Hit nach dem anderen. Das Volk tanzte, das Volk schwitzte und freute sich. Fotos vom Against Me! It took some time but on White Monday Against Me! were back in Munich. Against Me! are Tom Gabel, Andrew Seward, James Bowman and George Rebelo (who took over for Warren Oakes. There is a new album out called White Crosses and a new tour on. Sold out concert at the 59:1 and a great show. Old and new hits and everybody was sweat and lucky. Bad Religion auf großer 30 Jahre Tour und hier das Bad Religion 30 years Tourplakat zum Konzert im August in der Tonhalle in München.

Seit 30 Jahren unterwegs und immer wieder eine Freude: Bad Religion aus den USA. Das Aushängeschild in Sachen Punk Rock mit intelligenten Texten und melodiösem Gesang. Viel „Schuld“ daran hat Greg Graffin der Sänger und Songwriter der Band sowie nebenbei Hochschullehrer und Doktor. Und was gab es in München? Lieder von den verschiedenen Bad Religion Platten und ordentlich Vollgas. Vor dem Lied Generator durfte das Publikum abstimmen, ob dies schnell oder langsam vorgetragen werden soll „it is a democratic process; you want it fast or slow, raise your voice for slow and raise your voice for fast“ – sehr eindeutig, nur ein paar wollten es langsam. Oh yeah, ohh yeah! War mal wieder gut Bad Religion live auf der Bühne zu sehen (und Fotos zu machen natürlich auch).
Munich on a rainy Monday night, Bad Religion in a sold out venue called Tonhalle. Lots of young people but even more older models around. But all wanted to have fun with Greg Hetson (guitar), Brian Baker (guitar), Greg Graffin (voice), Brooks Wackerman (drums) and Jay Bentley (bass). Since 30 years Bad Religion exist and the show was packed with hits from all the different times albums.
And it seemed to me, that everybody got what they expected, fast melodic punk rock songs performed by a punk institution called Bad Religion. And new album “The Dissent Of Man” out soon!
