Eurosonic Noorderslag in Holland / Groningen 13. Januar 2016
Am ersten Abend in Groningen gab es für mich Nikki Louder (aus Slowenien) im De Spieghel Up, gefolgt von ein wenig The Parrots (aus Spanien) im De Spieghel Main. Beides war gut, aber auch beide Bands haben mich nicht umgehauen.
Dann ein Ortswechsel ins Newscafe, dort spielte Svavar Knútur aus Island. Sympathischer Mensch auf der Bühne mit lustigen Sprüchen und Ansagen zwischen den Liedern. Die Musik bekommt von mir den Stempel Songwriter.
Ab ins Grand Theatre Main und kurz Saveus aus Dänemark angeschaut (nicht so mein Ding).
Nach einer weiteren Änderung der Location ins Huize Maas habe ich eine positive Überraschung erlebt, nämlich die Band Middlemist Red aus Ungarn, hat mir sehr gefallen.
Zum Abschluss noch ins Der AA-Theater, denn dort wollte ich mir The Black Heart Rebellion aus Belgien nicht entgehen lassen. Und die Jungs haben gekonnt meinen musikalischen Abend beendet.
Eurosonic Noorderslag in the Netherlands / Groningen 13. January 2016
My Groningen gig life started with Nikki Louder from Slovenia playing in a place called De Spieghel Up. What goes up needs to come down, means De Spieghel down had the Spanish band The Parrots for me.
After a change of location I was able to see and photograph Svavar Knútur at the Newscafe. Nice guy with funny stories in-between his songs. I would file his music under Icelandic songwriter.
Keep on moving and then Saveus from Denmark played at the Grand Theatre Main (not my cup of music).
Next station was the Huize Maas and there I really enjoyed Middlemist Red from Hungaria. Was a positive surprise seeing them on stage.
My last show for the first night was from The Black Heart Rebellion from Belgium. I wanted to see them and the gig at the AA-Theater rocked: good one!
