Sepultura 28.07.2010 Backstage München


Sepultura

Seit 25 Jahren in der Musikwelt: Sepultura aus Brasilien. Vom Original-line up gibt es nur noch Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. (Bass), aber mit Derrick Green (Gesang), Andreas Kisser (Gitarre) und Jean Dollabella (Schlagzeug) ist Sepultura immer noch Sepultura! Nach dem Intro kam die Band und knallte alles weg. So voll habe ich das Backstage noch nicht erlebt und die Menge wurde ordentlich gerockt. Bis nach Hinten konnte man Haare beim Headbangen fliegen sehen und es wurde zünftig abgemoscht. Auch im Jahr 2010 ist mit Sepultura zu rechnen, das hat das Konzert in München auf der 1 / 4 Century – Tour bewiesen.

During the Alex Intro the band came on stage and kicked the place. Never seen the Backstage hall so packed. And the audience was headbanging and moshing all around in the venue. And even after 25 years Sepultura are vivid and alive!

Dust Bolt 28.07.2010 Backstage München


Dust Bolt

Aus der Ecke Landsberg am Lech kommen Dust Bolt und die Jungs (Lenny B. voc. + guitars, Flo D. guitars, Bene M. bass und Nico R. drums) durften vor Sepultura ran. Leider (für mich) war das Backstage bumsvoll und ich zu spät, so konnte ich nur noch drei Lieder unter der Mühe nach Vorne zu kommen anhören. Tja und deshalb leider auch nur ein Bild. Doch dies zeigt was Dust Bolt für Musik spielen: Trash Metal.

The band Dust Bolt comes from Bavaria and I was almost able to catch them live. They were playing at the Backstage before Sepultura and unfortunately (for me) the venue was packed and I was late. So I only was able to catch three songs while trying to get in front. No easy thing and therefore just one picture of Nico, Bene, Lenny and Flo. But this Dust Bolt pictures shows what kind of music they are playing: Trash Metal!

Fu Manchu 30.03.2011 59 to 1 München


Fu Manchu

In Search Of Stonerrock? Genau, Fu Manchu aus California waren im Lande und das 59:1 war voll. Der Großteil, ein etwas älteres Volke, dem Bart und Tattoes nicht abgeneigt, versammelte sich um Scott Hill, Brad Davis, Bob Balch und Scott Reeder zu Lauschen. Diese kamen vor dem Easy Rider Fu Manchu Plakat auf die kleine Bühne und ab ging die Erinnerung. In Search Of wurde durchgespielt und es gab wenig Rumgemache, kaum Ansagen sondern Rock Rock und nochmals Rock. Laut, dreckig und geil. Als Zugaben haben dann die Stonerrock Könige Fu Manchu noch Evil Eye und King Of The Road gespielt.

Long way out of California, Fu Manchu came to play the 59:1 and it was packed. Mostly kind of eldery people, mostly tattoed ones. Scott Hill, Scott Reeder, Brad Davis and Bob Balch entered the stage and the in Search Of Trip began. Not much bullshitting but Rock Rock and Rock. Fu Manchu stands for high quality Stoner-rock and this is what this concert was: a high quality Stoner-rock event of Fu Manchu. After the In Search Of album was through, the encore was Evil Eye and King Of The Road.

Turbogeist 30.03.2011 59 to 1 München


Turbogeist

Aus UK kommt die Band Turbogeist. Turbogeist sind (Luis Felber-Gitarre, Jimmy Jagger-Gitarre Gesang, James Dunson-Bass und Josh Ludlow-Drums). Die Jungs waren Vorband von Fu Manchu an diesem Abend. Als ich zu spät ankam, war der Laden voll und ich konnte nicht die ganze Show sehen und schlimmer noch, ich kam nicht gescheit nach vorne, das heißt wenig Bilder und die auch nicht so dolle. Turbogeist verzeih!

Coming from UK Turbogeist (James Dunson, Jimmy Jagger, Luis Felber and Josh Ludlow) opened up this show for Fu Manchu. Unfortunately I came quite late and the 59:1 club was packed and so I was not able to get in front and to be honest my Turbogeist pictures are not many and not so good. Shame on me.

Rise Against 26.03.2011 Zenith München


Rise Against

Endgame Europa Tour und die Dates in Deutschland ausverkauft: Rise Against füllen mal locker auch schon die großen Hallen. Knapp 80 Minuten hat das Publikum die volle Breitseite bekommen. Neue Lieder, alte Lieder, einige politische Ansagen (macht Euch über die Sea Shepperts + Peta2 schlau und andere Punkte) und die Meute (~5800) war glücklich. Tim McIlrath, Zach Blair, Brandon Barnes und Joe Principe hatten München gleich von Beginn an im Griff und haben eine gute Rise Against Rock Show hingelegt.

It just needed the first tunes of the first song and Rise Against ruled this Saturday night. On there Endgame Tour the German dates in quite big venues were all sold out and the stop on Munich was at the Zenith. And Tim McIlrath, Brandon Barnes, Joe Principe and Zach Blair set the place on fire (what a phrase…). Good show with a mixture of old and new songs and about 80 minutes live Rise Against Rock performance. I guess next time in an even bigger hall?

Coliseum 26.03.2011 Zenith München


Coliseum

Gekannt habe ich Coliseum nur von einem Strike Anywhere Konzert, denn dort wurde ein Coliseum Bandshirt auf der Bühne getragen. Als Vorband von Rise Against konnten mich Coliseum (Ryan Patterson, Carter Wilson, Mike Pascal) am heutigen Samstag im Zenith nicht ganz überzeugen, ich glaube da war einfach die Halle groß. Bis zum nächsten mal in einem kleineren Club dann bitte.

Saturday night at the Zenith in Munich: Coliseum from Kentucky were the opener at the sold out Rise Against show. And to tell the truth it was not bad but it was not good, I guess the place was just too big for them. See you again Coliseum, but please in a smaller location.
